Every week me and my best mate go out for a meal and a few beers. Afterwards I do a food review regarding my findings. I love food and love cooking it so I always try to be honest fair and genuine in my findings. We decided it was time to visit Ocean's 11. My friend booked it but to be honest I was not looking forward to it. We got there about 7 and it was very quite. Not a problem as we are like younger versions of Jack and Victor from Still game and just like a chance to chill out with a cold beer. As soon as we got into Oceans 11 we were shown to our table by a very pleasant tall young chap. Within seconds we were sipping on our cold lager and decided to order the Sirloin steak with chips Jack Daniels sauce and all the little extras. When our well done steaks came we were pleasantly surprised. Big portions and plenty of taste and we really enjoyed our steak and sauce. Ok it wasn't a big steak and if anything I would go for medium the next time as it was a bit dry. But listen it was pretty good and the price was very reasonable and we were both pretty stuffed. Next time we will try the prawn cocktail first then a steak. The final bill was again fair and we both enjoyed our dinner. Only slight negative was the female staff didn't seem that enthusiastic but we we would definitely...

Service was spot on. Staff were friendly. Accommodated us when they were already pretty busy with bookings. Drinks came fast, food came after a reasonable wait & the plates were taken away promptly once finished.
Nice clean bar & has a good atmosphere during the day. I've also been at night & the place is reasonably priced for alcohol & offer wide range of drinks.
The foood, I've tried food mutlple times but I personally don't see why folk like it. Each of the people I was with agreed that the food was below average compared to other places & the price did not back up the food quality. Portions was large, chips looked pale & depressed. Burgers tasted like there was flavouring in them to make them taste grilled however was straight out a microwave & the macaroni tasted like it was out of a packet. The others that I ate with said there food was average aswell.
Overall I wouldn't go back as I feel the food was over priced for what was served. I won't insult the place and say the weatherspoons is better but the price of the food in spoons atleast justifys the quality of food you...
Read moreWe were a family group of eight the youngest being 15, she didn't see anything on the menu that she fancied so I asked to see the kids menu for her to look at, we were quite abruptly and rudely told that the kids menu was for under 12s, I asked what did it matter the age of the person eating it, again the "supervisor" told me it's the rules and she wasn't going to change it, this was very embarrassing in front of my family and I was considering us leaving to go elsewhere but our drinks had already arrived at the table and it would just have caused more embarrassment so we decided to stay, my 15 year old Grandaughter ended up ordering a plate of chips the rest of us had a main course and three had a pudding, the quality of the food varied from below average to just ok apart from the sweet and sour sauce that was with the chicken tempura......it was a special kind of disgusting. The service was very poor, slow and everything seemed like a chore (except for one waitress who was very pleasant) I'm afraid we won't be back unless we hear the staff have better training and attitude and the food quality...
