We called this restaurant to try and book a table but the answer machine said that it was walk ins only. The shop opened at 5pm so we thought that we would definitely get a table if we arrive just after 5pm (which we did). However, when we arrived they said it was fully booked, even though we could see plenty of free tables. They then said that we could get a takeaway. I am still confused how it was fully booked if you are unable to book a table online or on the phone? Surely not everyone booked in person. They also said if we waited 45 mins they could make an exception and get us a table…Very confusing but the staff were very apologetic and friendly. We ended up getting a takeaway (waited 20 mins) and took it back to our van to eat. The both pizzas were delicious. I had the scotch pizza and my wife got the pepperoni. Neither of the pizzas were too oily, they were well cooked and had great texture flavour. We also got garlic bread which was not nearly as good as the pizzas. In fact I felt some of the garlic bread was over cooked. Anyway, tasty dinner during our stop over...

The family at AtlasAdventured highly recommends dining here! After a long day of traveling, we arrived at our hotel in Inverness fairly late and we were starving. While our stay had restaurants on site, we were with our toddler and in need of something a bit more informal. Pizza sounded like the perfect option. After some research, we decided to check out Cheese & Tomatin. Such a great choice! The inside is cozy and smells delicious. They have a great food and drink selection, and there is also a kids pizza option. Our server was great giving us recommendations. We were wanting something traditional, and something unique. She recommended the 4 Cheese Pickled Walnut Pizza. It sounded so strange, but we are open and willing to try new things. It was so delicious! Super cheesy, the perfect amount of blue cheese, and the walnuts were so different, and so addicting. Our Diavola was very greasy, but delicious, and the kids pepperoni pizza was perfect. The crust is so good! Thank you for opening up our taste buds! We will definitely be back next time we’re...

I have been to Cheese and Tomatin 3 times, once when I was taken there by a friend. It was so good that I took my work colleagues there which was also great.

However, the third time when I took my wife and son was very disappointing. The pizza was still great but the service was terrible. When I received my pizza I had to wait quite a while to see someone again to get some chilli oil and never saw the waiter/waitress again until the meal was done. We were also only offered one round of drinks and would have loved another round.

The pizza was that good that I will go again but if the service is as bad again it will be my last. I'd rather eat a mediocre pizza with great service than a good pizza with...

During our trip to the Scottish highlands in June 2025, we ordered three different types off pizzas i.e. the Mediterranean Medley, the Shroom Surprise and 4 Cheese with walnuts. The pizzas were superb! Definitely one of our better finds. The crust, made of 48-hour feremented sourdough base, was done to perfection! Wood-fired to the right texture with minimal burns on the bread. The crusts were just perfect—not too thin, yet not overly thick. Soft and chewy with a generous amount of cheese and other ingredients. While the waitress cleared the plates at our table, I asked in jest whether they served the after-dinner limoncello as they always do in Italy. She gave me a small complimentary cup!
