We visited this dosa place in Inverness on a cold December evening, hoping for something warm and comforting. Finding the restaurant was a bit of a challenge as it’s located in a rather shady corner. But once we stepped in, the vibe was really nice and cozy. The place was packed, so we had to wait a bit before getting a table. We ordered one Ghee roast dosa, the price was unreasonably high. The dosa on the other hand was just okay, nothing special, and definitely not worth what they were charging. The sambar portion was tiny, but they were kind enough serve an extra bowl of sambaar. It seemed like a small family owned business so I would have appreciated if they could create a more homely experience for us. But something that made us a bit uncomfortable was how involved the young daughters of the owners were, going around tables and recommending dishes. It felt a bit intrusive, especially when people just wanted to enjoy their meals with friends and family. Overall, very basic experience, not worth the money or the hype.

I can't recommend Love Dosa enough! They provided catering for a conference I organised and it was absolutely the highlight of the day! The food was incredibly delicious -- it was the talking point of the day -- and easily catered to a range of dietary requirements, with many dishes being naturally vegan and gluten free, making it easy and inclusive for our wide range of guests. The Love Dosa team were very flexible, catering to additional requirements and always responding quickly to queries, and all ran very smoothly on the day. On top of that, it was very good value for money, especially compared to the usual conference catering options! What's more, our guests said that having this kind of homestyle, wholesome, delicious food, really enhanced the networking side of the conference as it put people at ease and made them excited. We're still hearing positive feedback about the food long after the event!

Great authentic South Indian food. It was a great find. The fish curry was our favourite. Samosa was authentic and crispy. Pilau rice was also good as having coriander in it makes it much more interesting and fragrant. Beef curry was very good also. Would not recommend Bariyani though as it is not as tasty and well spiced like South Indian style. The service is a little chaotic. I recommend booking on their website in advance or go later in the evening as the queues are long and you won’t get a space. We had dinner 2 days in a row there. We parked near the station £2 for 3 hours I think. Only a short distance from there. Use google map to get there as it is in an alley and not easy to spot.

If you're in Inverness and craving authentic Kerala cuisine, look no further than Love Dosa. As a family of five, we walked in at 9 pm on a weekday, expecting a late, casual meal, but were warmly greeted and gladly accommodated by Chef Aji and Jaspreet, who made us feel right at home. We ordered Ghee Roast, which was beautifully crispy on the outside and was paired with an array of chutneys and a piping hot sambar, every bite was packed with layers of flavor. The chutneys themselves were delightful – fresh, tangy, and slightly sweet, and the sambar had the perfect level of spice and richness.

The true star of the evening for our family was the Kallushappu Beef Curry with Parotta. The beef was tender, cooked to perfection, and the flavor that immediately transported us to Kerala. The parottas were soft, flaky, and perfectly layered, they were absolutely divine. Every bite took us back to the streets of Kerala, where the combination of parotta and beef curry is a beloved, classic comfort food. It’s rare to find such authenticity outside of Kerala, and Love Dosa nailed it!

Our kids absolutely loved the food. The flavors were just the right balance for all ages, and they couldn’t get enough of the parottas. In fact, we had to order more because they were so delicious.

The service at Love Dosa was exceptional. Despite the late hour, the staff maintained a cheerful, welcoming attitude, and Chef Aji even came over to check on us and chatted with us, and shared the history of Love Dosa with us.

For anyone visiting Inverness – or even locals looking for an authentic taste of South India – Love Dosa is hands down the best place for Kerala food in the area. The flavors are vibrant, the dishes are authentic, and the warmth of the service adds a personal touch that you don’t always get from larger, more commercial establishments. We left with full bellies and...

Food was below average, and the host was outright rude—already seen arguing with other customers when we walked out. For a place called Love Dosa, the dosa was anything but love. Fragile, bland, and forgettable—just like the service.

The only thing this restaurant seems good at is attracting foreigners. They’re repeatedly asked how they like the food—over a hundred times—while Indians, their own people, are ignored like we don’t matter.

We went as a group of three, and this is honestly the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to review a restaurant negatively. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants before, and while food quality can vary, the service here was the worst I’ve ever encountered. The lady host—who I believe co-owns the place and is from Kerala herself—was shockingly rude. She actually asked us to “hurry up and order” because others were queuing, as if we were a burden for dining there.

Despite the name, they don’t even serve basic tea or coffee. The batter wasn’t right, the dosa was disappointing, the sides tasteless, and the whole meal felt like a scam. To top it off, the food is ridiculously overpriced. It’s clear the priority is squeezing money from customers and rushing them out the door, not hospitality.

Even other customers were shouting at the staff for their behavior, which speaks volumes about how bad the management is.

Overall rating: 2/10 – Overpriced food, below-average taste, a suffocating atmosphere, and service so rude it ruins the entire experience....

Long awaited South Indian Restaurant in the '' Capital Of Highlands'' had a great opportunity to have their mouth watering food and culinary skills. As their website describes each and every word matches their food to a Top-Notch. Especially the Dosas, Starters, Kallushop Beef Curry, Chicken Mappas, Fish curry & Home Made Malabar Porottas and more (Including Vegan Options). The one good thing I liked about this Resto is their Menu which is Fulfillable, its not like other Indian restaurants Having hundreds of items in menu and which they couldn't accomplish it. As for the service I was flattered by the highly power packed energy level of those 2 kids and their mother from the beginning to end of my dining( Ecstatic & Kids were so entertainers). The prices was adequate to the food I had. Finally got a chance to Thank the Chef though he was extremely busy and he told me they are doing ''CATERING'' services which made me really happy and showed me some snaps which they did recently, which was Splendid. Thank you Love Dosa for making my evening memorable. See you often. A Magnificent SOUTH INDIAN RESTO in the Heart Of Inverness. keep going with your full energy.

Kudos To Love...
