Referred here by local and looked at reviews before visiting. We were immediately greeted and seated next to the bar when we walked in. Took about 10 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. Ordered cocktails, the wings and mussels. The drinks were served promptly with the food following within 10-15 minutes. Some of the wings were perfect while others were so dry we couldn't eat them. It was like two separate batches were combined for one order. The mussels were excellent.
We then ordered the burger and fish and chips. The burger was small, dry and cooked beyond well done. I realized afterwards that I was not asked how I wanted it cooked; so, maybe that's the way the order was entered. The fish and chips were standard.
Even though we were seated directly across from the bar, we had to carry our drinks to the bar and ask for refills every time. There was a table of gentleman that wanted to leave and they had to visit the bar to tab out. Two of them mentioned to the girl checking them out that the service was terrible. She didn't show any concern. At one point, when I walked to the bar for a refill, I looked into the back section, and there was literally no one seated. There were 3 employees seated playing on their phones. I asked if they were closed and we were holding them up. I was told that they just get slow before the main dinner rush.
The service was poor. The food was below average and the atmosphere was nothing special. Maybe it was just...

They seem to be happy with the bland tasting menu items like the venison carpaccio (which a room temp browned meat with forgettable greens on the side). Also the soup of the day was a “butternut squash with tomato”, but it ended up a 95% tomato soup.
I can’t even remember the other dishes we ordered without looking up their menu so that for me means forgettable and not worth it.
Another struggle at this place is around the “Fresh Air Management Department”. Servers come and open the door to let some fresh air in. And then in 2 minutes everyone is freezing so a customer gets bored of eating in their jacket and gets up to close the door. This happens every 5 minutes, quite fun to watch. I recommend every table start a bidding game as to who will be the next to stand up and close the door - this would actually make dining here fun (not the food or service). The servers are actually very nice people but not trained to be great, they are still trying hard and I appreciated that.
Extra bonus is when the typical Europeans smoke their cigs by the open door and the guests are slowly smoked nicely unlike the salmon on the menu... passive smoking for the...
