Interesting. We play a little in the US and had no idea what to expect from the reviews or looking online so hopefully this helps other tourists. Not like casinos in the states but still entertaining. VERY Small (like 20 machines and then 2 bathrooms, an atm and ticket machine and one staff member who was super helpful) and while they do serve snacks (kinda neat!) No alcohol, which I understand by the size and with how they seem to frown on gambling (see below)
Each machine has a large number of games you can choose from (mine had like 50). Wagers 25p to 2 pounds. The max as I understood was 2 pounds on any game. And the machines "check" on you every 15 min or so to remind you to quit if you need to (nanny government I guess?). When you put your money in, you can pick a limit too. The games resemble the popular ones in the US but are different (think Google play knock off free casino games)...but they all seemed to play the same way and kinda got boring after an hour. You can gamble your win as well (with 5 options that come up to show a spinner with each choice and smaller odds to win have smaller "slices" in the gamble spinner).
The return was OK, varies by game and you can check it in the game info. 2 of us played 50p for about an hour and a half and lost only 40 pounds...so seemed much better than odds in the US. However, the absolute most you can win (best of the best) is 500 pounds. All in all was interesting but not exciting like in the states and didn't hold our interest for very long.
Went in here to kill sometime thinking it was still a bookies. To my surprise it was actually a gaming centre. I was met by the attendant working I think his name was Robert? He showed me how easy it was. Much easier than a normal slot style centre and no waiting to cash tickets. Will be back in the very near future. Thanks
Oh wow, this place is amazing! Great to see new game opportunities in Inverness. Lovely and clean. Staff are so friendly. There was a girl working in there, I think her name was Dana, she was very helpful towards us, always had a smile on her face and was so very cheery 😄
