I have given 1 for the great service and for the nice look of the store.
The food was seriously disappointing rice was reheated not made fresh chips where basic burger was overdone now the best bit the doner kabab was disgusting I actually only noticed my daughter wasnāt eating it towards the end of our meal and tasted it my self it had a taste of being very off the waiter keep says it got less fat etc can be eaten after a few hours etc he was guilty of selling old food and was trying to cover him self.
I am sorry but great service isnāt enough if your selling bad food to me that means your making me out to be a fool if I had known earlier I would have sent it back to the kitchen and walked out. People no the difference you cant sell us reheated food and pretend its just made and think we wont notice thats why your getting 1 stars and I am making people aware your also getting reported to the council health and safety food standards my daughter is sick because of your doner (if you no anything about food or meat some meats are meant to have fat etc on it thats what gives it taste for example Turkish kebabs and doner)
I feel coned and cheated waist out of £50 would have been better going elsewhere sorry guys but am just being very honest you no what you did. One of the worst food experiences in Glasgow because of the reheated food and thats really saying something.
Also why make spicy/peri chicken then put a sweat sauce on it ?

You say you where endorsed by the council bet they don't no you're selling reheated and bad doner expect a new visit from them for reassessment also I have seen them give hygiene certificates to places with min standers so am not surprised they said you where ok its not the restaurant look of cleaning that seems to be the issue its the food standards you are now putting out to save money cut corners and...
Read moreThis will be a very honest review. The staff were very friendly, could tell they were struggling with the new year rush. The staff were friendly. The food came out on time, piping hot and beautiful presentation. But for the price It didn't hit the mark for us and most of our food did not get eaten and we left hungry. My 3 year old boy burned both his hands as he was served his food in a hot plate which is not expected or correct for toddler meals so they should really consider training staff to mention this when placing it on table/placing it away from kids/use child friendly system. Lastly I ordered the vegetarian bao bun which were described as being served with sliced veg and Mac n cheese. This was incorrectly advertised as it was actually served with Quorn chicken meat and macaroni no vegetables. So we asked politely to have it taken back to the kitchen and not charge us as we didn't know it was Quorn chicken and was incorrectly described on the menu. The lady mentioned that we won't be charged and was very apologetic. Our total bill came up to over £100. And when it came to paying the man who charged us said that although we had the bao buns removed from the table we will still be charged as it was still technically a vegetarian dish (however that wasn't the point) I don't eat chicken or things that look like chicken and there menu didn't state any of this. In fact it said vegetables and there was no vegetables. Quorn meat is not vegetables. Basically telling us that the customer is not right, he is right and he will now charge us despite the lady saying we won't. We paid for it without a second thought. However this does not make the menu, the service or the meal correct. We didn't get what we paid for and we didn't eat it but this man really wanted his money so we considered it as a tip for the nice presentation. Will we be back? Definitely not... Literally left a bad taste in my mouth, I don't like being told I'm wrong especially if I'm not and then being charged for it. Was definitely a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved this place when it had first opened, but my recent visit was disappointing especially as I'd taken some guests with me. I could have taken them anywhere in Glasgow, and I'm just sorry I picked Chickaros.
It took an hour for our food to come out even though the restaurant wasn't busy when we ordered. They said it'd take 20 mins as they had to make fresh chicken, but the lack of transparency with the wait was unacceptable.
By the time we got the food, the wraps/burger buns were cold but the meat inside was warm. When we asked nicely for one to be warmed up, the waiter seemed put out and offered no apology, as if the hour wait wasn't bad enough. To their credit, they replaced the wrap and it was very warm when it came back.
Don't bother ordering extras for the burger, they're not worth the extra £1. I had mac and cheese which had about 7 pieces of pasta. It was the most stingy add-on portion I've ever seen. By this point I couldn't be bothered to say anything as I was starving and the waiters didn't seem too bothered about us, they didn't ask how everything was and they just walked past us.
The drinks also took about 20-30 minutes to come (separately) and they also forgot one of them.
After all the waiting, we were too hungry to enjoy the dry ice and even take photos of the food or with my guests.
Overall it's an Instagrammable place with good prices, but the customer service lacks the ability to rescue a bad experience. You can't give substandard service and be surprised that your customers are asking where their food/drinks are and...
