This review seemingly follows a trend from previous reviews for the owner/manager who should really invest in a customer service course for himself.... My partner and I were looking forward to trying Cibo for the first time as their breakfast menu looked nice. As I was about to order the "boss" sent one of his colleagues over to inform us we were to leave, as we had two small coffees from a place down the road. We would "not be able to order" today. I would advise that the "boss" improve his customer service skills as we would have quite happily finished the two very small coffees if it was an issue with competitor branding? Instead he stood with his head down, blatantly ignoring two willingly paying first time customers. No explanation - no customer interaction from the "boss" and even the waitress seemed confused. Considering the sit in area was filled to about 10% capacity, there is no excuse for not interacting if you had an issue. On a first visit you have not only missed out on about £40 of custom but we will absolutely be avoiding Cibo in future. Completely unacceptable to be treated like that. Don't get this service in places like SLB or Jeju. Very disappointing.

I was in Venice , Italy, two years ago, and this visit to Glasgow run Italian Deli-Cafe/ Restaurant was a great reminiscent experience. The staff were attentive and happy to guide us through our options. The owner popped over and said hello, which was a top thing to do , bonding with his clientele. I had a pastrami paying with tomatoes on fresh focaccia bread in melted garlic cheese and a side of rocket salad with balsamic olive oil. First Class. My sister plumbed for an impressive chunk of tiramisu with her Chi Cinnamon Latte. So good, we both ordered another. We were surrounded by lovely Glasgow folk who were all gabbing away happily . Great atmosphere, although I was sorry Oddbins had gone because I used to buy my Whisky there when I lived on Victoria Road 33 years ago. Brava ,Prego !

Lovely little coffee shop on Victoria Road, only a 2 minute walk from the park so great if you want a coffee and a walk. They also offer seating both inside and outside for those rare occasions that the Scottish weather holds up. I had both their Americano for my walk, then came back for a Capuchinno and some cake. The Carese Cake (Almonds and Chocolate) was lovely and complimented the coffee well. My friend has the Apple cake, and although tasty could have done with being crisper and with more cinnamon, however this is personal preference. Over all a great place, that is also Dog Friend (10/10 for that), and of course I 'left the gun but took the Cannoli' to go.

Absolutely ridiculous experience. My group was about to order breakfast (would have been a £30+ order) when a waitress informed us that her boss said we couldn't have coffee from another business in the cafe. They themselves were confused by this. The cups were completely blank - no branding whatsoever - and there was literally one other customer in the entire place.

The sheer absurdity of turning away paying customers over unmarked coffee cups when the cafe was practically empty is beyond comprehension. We were ready to spend good money on food, but apparently policing beverage origins takes priority over actual business.

Reading the other reviews, we're clearly not alone in this terrible experience - there's definitely a pattern of appalling customer service here. Seems like they've mastered the art of driving customers away, one petty policy at a time.

Their loss entirely. Won't be returning.

Go to Short Long Black on Jeju instead - infinitely friendlier staff with a welcoming attitude that actually...
