The food was very delicious,especially the dressing with my starter, and there was so much in my main that i couldn't eat it all,which is quite unusual these days to have a 'hearty serving',also delicious and Husband had Steak in Peppercorn sauce, which he managed to eat all of his which he doesn't usually do,as there was so much, but he said it was absolutely delicious. The staff were lovely and friendly and although very busy were attentive too. Neither of us had alcohol but our soft drinks were good,and plenty of ice as the temp on the day was 29°,and the overall atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I used to come here for lunch on a Friday over 30 odd years ago before I moved from the area. The food, especially the haddock, was amazing. It was so nice & crispy with no grease. The prices are brilliant too. You can eat for less than a tenner each. The waitress was quick & efficient & very polite. The staff checked in & made sure everything was OK.
