Cidsin Bistro was a must have experience. As I stepped inside, the inviting ambiance embraced me like a warm hug, setting the perfect tone for what would be an unforgettable dinner. The moment I perused the menu, I could tell that this was no ordinary Indian restaurant. They had taken traditional flavors and given them a modern twist, and I was eager to dive in. Each dish promised a perfect balance of spices and fresh ingredients, and I couldn't wait to see if they could live up to the hype. First up was the "Chicken curry," and oh, it was a revelation! The tender chicken was bathed in a velvety-smooth tomato sauce with just the right amount of spice, elevating the classic curry to a whole new level of deliciousness. I savored every bite, not wanting the experience to end. For my vegetarian friends, the "Paneer Hara Masala" was a delight. The paneer was marinated in aromatic spices and grilled to perfection, creating a medley of flavors that left them all impressed. What struck me the most, though, was the impeccable service. The staff at Cidsin Bistro were attentive and genuinely passionate about the food they served. They made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home. As if that wasn't enough, the dessert "Kulfi" was simply heavenly. It was the perfect sweet note to end the meal on, and I found myself wishing I had room for seconds. Whether you choose to dine in or take away, Cidsin Bistro guarantees a culinary journey like no other. They celebrate Indian cuisine with innovation and attention to detail, and it truly shows in every aspect of the dining experience. If you're looking for a gem of a restaurant that pushes the boundaries of traditional flavors, look no further. I would recommend booking a reservation, as I noticed the restaurant was...

Wonderful food. The best Indian cuisine I have had. The service was a little slow, but they were very busy and someone, who seemed like the manager had come out to personally apologize for the delay. He had talked about how the Naan bread took a little longer since it was made very fresh. It completely eased myself and my grandmother's mind.

The starter, Chana Dhaal was amazing. In such small morsels they were able to deliver amazing spiced, warm flavours with the lentils. It was equivalent to an like a falafel in shape and likely fashion of cooking, but with its own distinct flavor which was markedly Indian. Only two of those and I knew this place was not messing around.

Our server was fantastic. She had recommendations for us and was in general, in very jolly spirits. They even had little lights on the table that you could press for Service and for Pay. The servers look for these lights and is an incredible way for introverts to get the attention of their servers. Just don't mess with it or the servers will have to keep coming over to ask you if you need anything. When you book a reservation, the restaurant also sends you a survey afterwards. They really care about customers experiences and can tell they want to listen. So strange this awesome of place is in Pitlochry! But no problem to me! Just wish I could get all the way across the pond more often.

We had the Vegetable Biriyani and the Vegetable Curry. Both were fantastic. The naan even more so. Atmosphere was good. Did not give the atmosphere five stars however because the table chairs were not that comfortable for my grandmother.

Thank you for the...

This place is perfect in the most unassuming way. On first glance it might appear to be nothing out of the ordinary. Until, that is, you meet the wonderful owners and the perfectly attentive, friendly and professional staff, the impeccably clean rooms and that’s even before you’ve tried the food!! As I write this I sit in the brilliantly comfortable bar (because the restaurant is full!) watching Wimbledon on the big but well situated TV so it doesn’t dominate the space, with the dolcet tones of Foy Vance drifting through the speakers, half way through the lamb “curry of the week” with a crisp pint of Kingfisher and it’s everything I hoped a traditional Indian curry to be and more. Chetan the smiley and friendly owner is chatting with his customers in a way that suggests good friends and as he approaches me calling me by my name having met only briefly when I arrived yesterday he asks me how my stay is going. Perfect I said with a beaming smile. And I really meant it. If you’re visiting Pitlochry there are plenty of places to stay but half way up West Moulin Road you’ll find a haven with the perfect mix of Scottish and Indian, that you’ll want to come back to Pitlochry for again and again. And now, the complimentary full Scottish breakfast tomorrow is what I’m most looking forward to! This morning it was delicious! Thank you Chetan and team so much for your hospitality and for the most perfect stay during a wonderful weekend in the glorious...

While the food was satisfactory, I encountered several issues that detracted from my dining experience. Despite informing the establishment of my dietary restrictions well in advance, communication was lacking, as I was not made aware of the limited vegan options available until my arrival. The selection was confined to two vegan starters and main courses, which was disappointing, particularly because I had anticipated enjoying a wider variety of dishes, such as their lamb curry. In comparison to other Indian restaurants I have visited, this did not stand out in terms of culinary innovation or value. The pricing structure was surprising, with negligible differences between vegetarian and meat dishes, and staple accompaniments like rice or naan were not included with main courses. This contributed to an overall impression being akin to a premium takeaway service rather than an award-winning dining venue. In summary, while the flavors were pleasant, they did not compensate for the shortcomings in variety, value, and service. I hope this feedback will be constructive and lead to improvements that enhance the dining experience for future patrons.

We arrived very late, after the kitchen had officially closed, but the wonderfully kind staff kindly asked the chefs if they could still prepare some takeaway meals for us — and they did. This kind gesture alone already made a lasting impression. While waiting, we took in the stylish and cosy interior, and couldn't help but marvel at the extensive whisky selection behind the bar. The waiter, noticing our curiosity, asked if we'd like to learn more – and we surely did! He gave us a warm and insightful introduction into the world of Scotch whisky, even teaching us the proper way to nose and sip it. Back at our accommodation, the food absolutely floored us. This was not your typical takeaway – the flavours were rich and balanced, everything was carefully packed, and it was clear that a lot of pride goes into every detail. Easily the best takeaway we’ve ever had. All in all, Cidsin managed to deliver one of the most delightful dining experiences we've had in a long while – and we didn’t even sit down for a meal! Hats off tae the whole team.

This Indian restaurant currently is the top rated restaurant in Pitlochry (according to Trip A). So I was looking for a takeaway and it didn't disappoint. The menu is simple and a little different from the usual Indian menus you get in your favourite local restaurant. So if you like the idea of ordering something you may not have tried, then this is a great option. If on the other hand you're expecting a Korma or Tikka Masala, then you're in the wrong place. I ordered the beetroot and paneer bon bons to start and then the chicken curry and tumeric rice. It came in a branded recycled bag, with nice wrapped boxes , all labeled up. I thought it was my birthday! The food was great, warm and flavoursome. I'd probably struggle to order another takeaway due to the limited choice but if you're in Pitlochry and like Indian food then book up for the restaurant or order a takeaway. They do deliver but only between 5pm and 8pm, otherwise you'll need to pop up to collect it. Overall 4 star because of the smaller menu.
