We have had several breakfasts and tea and cake after long walks at this lovely café and it has always been EXCELLENT. The staff are always very friendly, especially Susan, they welcome dogs and Susan will stop by to say hello to the dogs and give them a little treat. The breakfast egg/bacon rolls are great (local organic eggs). We've tried several panini's, all good but the tomato and humous one is especially tasty. The brie and ham toasted croissant also very good. Coffees and teas are great, they do fantastic smoothies too. The highlight for me is ALWAYS the cake! We've tried lots of different ones (vanilla Victoria sponge, strawberry cream Victoria sponge, hummingbird cake, raspberry and almond frangipane, peppermint slice, raspberry and coconut slice), all made in house, all very, very good. We've been in Pitlochry for a week and we've popped in most days. Definitely, definitely worth a visit! Pitlochry has lots of cafés and eateries and we've tried quite a few but we keep returning to Café Calluna because it's our favourite.

I ordered the soup of the day: broccoli, ginger and coconut soup (vegan), with two slices of brown bread and vegan butter. It was delicious. I ordered a vegan sausage roll, with orange juice. I also ordered a decaff mocha with coconut milk. All was lovely. The cafe is dog-friendly with a lovely, cosy atmosphere. A lot of fairy lights, artwork and a lot of vintage style furniture, posters and signage. Toilets are clean with stunning mirrors, and with a lot of floral styling. The staff are friendly, quick to serve and happy to help with any dietary requirements. Cakes look tasty and appetising. I enjoyed my visit and would come again.

I have visited this cafe for a few times and I must say all staffs are always friendly and polite. I remember from my first visit, the lady was so helpful. The food and coffees are always taste good. Last visit, I had a plain chocolate and it was delicious. I have noticed some pets are allowed inside of the cafe - so a good place to eat if you have pets with you. Also, there are paintings hanging all over the wall that are for sale, so check those arts when you are dining in. This wee place is just in the main street of Pitlochry so you will not miss this one. I will definitely recommend this place and happy to dine again.

Unwashed salad meant mouthful of grit for both my husband and I. On closer inspection of the salads on our order of baked potato and baguette, we found little chunks of soily looking grit throughout. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, one girl, without so much as an apology, was of the opinion that the plate could be changed along with the salad and we could continue to eat the main part of our meal. Total lack of understanding how disgusting it was to be eating dirt, just took the plates and said ‘I’ll change that for you’ and when I declined and explained that I didn’t care for another plate with salad, the next offer was ‘Well do you just want a refund then?’ Totally shocked by the lack of customer service from this member of staff. There are many ways this could have been dealt with more appropriately and really the reason why i’ve felt pushed to write this review. Mistakes happen. How they are dealt with makes the difference. The only real thing needed was an understanding and a sincere apology. Thank goodness for the other lovely woman on shift today who made a point of coming over to our table and saying how sorry she was for the inconvenience and that she was mortified. She instantly managed to make us feel that we weren’t the ones in the wrong. Thank you, the owner could do with...

We arrived on a quiet Sunday morning and had our pick of tables. After a wee while they took our order and then we waited, It got a little busier. Other customers that had come in after us had their order taken and delivered, and we were still waiting. We finally got our drinks but not our food. Which didn't arrive for another 20 minutes. My friends order was fine. But my order was different to what she thought she had ordered for me but close enough, we didn't question it. However, it was tasteless and had a waxy feel to it. I couldn't eat it. We asked for a replacement but it took so long to arrive. We ĥad finished our drinks and were totally unhappy with our experience that we asked for a box to go. There were plenty of staff on that day that it really shouldn't have been an issue, but it obviously was . Based on that experience, neither of us will be back, which is a shame as it has lots...
