Came to the restaurant with higher expectations. Talking about the service first, the two young girls they have for service were quite unprofessional and annoying. Taking selfies in front of us, chit chatting about completely irrelevant stuffs, laughing and joking around loudly, VERY inattentive, a very bad attitude especially when called as one of them didn’t even bother coming to the table to talk when our table was quite near to the counter. Also, had a very unfriendly expression on her face and i don’t know why. The older lady with glasses seemed quite unfriendly too. But the other old lady was very nice and friendly (and hence an extra star for her). Service was overall quite disappointing esp when you’re in a hospitality business. Food arrived after a good 30 mins when there weren’t any guest except us or around us at least. Got us really waiting and no apologies were made whatsoever. About the food, the veggie brunch had a mushroom missing as promised on the menu but i wasn’t informed earlier that it has been switched with the roti like thing. I also asked them to make one fried egg and one scrambled but no, got both of my eggs as scrambled and that’s fine, I let that go. My friend ordered pizza telling them to not add tomatoes as topping but they were still added but the pizza tasted nice to me but very doughy to my friend to the point she couldn’t eat it anymore. Fish and chips were okay too. The Mac and cheese was bland for our palate. Order chocolate pancake for desserts and was a bit disappointed for the price paid, there was almost no ice cream, and whip cream and the chocolate sauce tasted weird but somewhat edible.

Read moreWe stopped here for pancakes last time we were in Pitlochry and they were amazing, this time we decided to take our kids here for dinner...it was disappointing to say the least. My partner and I had salmon which was reasonable apart from the top being tough and the addition of balsamic vinegar or whatever it was which ruined the taste. There were a few potatoes, a dessert spoon size portion of carrots that we think were from a tin and two small stalks of boiled broccoli...for £16.95 each we were expecting better quality of food and broccoli isn't expensive. My youngest son loves macaroni cheese but stopped eating halfway through, my eldest son had pizza which tasted quite good but he could hardly bite through the base and to be fair I could hardly cut it with the serrated knife we were given with it...which says everything. For our food, two soft drinks and two bottles of Cider we were £74.15 which just wasn't worth the price. We regularly cook salmon, broccoli and potatoes at home and to be served this and be charged that price was an insult, we won't be going back.
Multiple 'local guide' reviews giving 4/5 stars which in my opinion are totally not justified...they really should just stick to...
Read moreCame in today with my partner for some brunch. A girl came over to take our order I asked for a caramel frappe and a coke which was all fine she then took the order over to the blonde girl behind the bar who then loudly said to the waitress no I am not doing another caramel frappe iv already made one today which me and my partner both heard, the waitress then came back over to the table to tell us " im really sorry the frappe machine was broken" I then just said I would have a coke. Me and my partner felt a bit like an inconvenience so then actually didn't bother ordering the food, i did tell this to the dark haired waitress it wasnt her fault but we did hear the girl at the bar and she looked mortified but no appology and we would be leaving. we left and went somewhere else but did begrudgingly pay for the 2 cokes which I hardly drank because I was so annoyed. Isn't the best kind of service to basically be shouting across the bar they can't be bothered making a frappe for the customer to hear it especially on a hot day people may be wanting a cold drink. Won't be back as this was very off putting was ashame as we were looking forward to...
