Da Antonio Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Scotland

On our last night in Scotland, we had no plans for dinner, so a Google search led us to Da Antonio's. This is a small, family-ran restaurant that has 6 tables and seating for a total of 14. The minute you walk into this cozy restaurant, you can smell the love. The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a low counter, so you can watch your delicious meal being made. The chef interacts with his diners while preparing their meals. I had the asparagus and the carbanara and my husband had the stuffed peppers and the cacciatore. Well what can I say. Found this place when wanting to go to eat at short notice, luckily not in peak times. Smallish restaurant (so book in advance) that is quaint and has that personal service. Since my first visit 2 weeks ago I have been back 3 times!! The atmosphere the food the price and the service I cannot fault. By far the best Italian food I have ever tasted. The food is exquisite. I will be back soon thats for sure. Thank you to all the staff and owners that work so hard to give such an awesome experience....

Great traditional Italian family restaurant, amazing food, highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara done in the traditional Roman style as requested, it was absolutely delicious, perfect al dente pasta, hubby had pizza rici which he loved, house red is very good, arancini for starter was very tasty, everything was so well cooked and Antonio is a great host, very friendly and he recognised us even though it's been 4 yrs since we were last in his restaurant. We will definitely be back for more from this fantastic...
