I am surprised that this cafe has so many good reviews .. maybe they do lovely coffee and cakes / scones, but the food wasn't the best, and very overpriced .. we got 3 bowls of soup with crusty bread and a tuna toastie, plus 4 cokes .. £32 quid 😱 .. my daughter didn't eat her lentil soup and when I took a taste I understood why .. the lentils were under cooked and the soup was overseasoned .. on top of this, the lady on shift lectured us for our choice of seats because we sat at a "dirty table" and that the tables should be disinfected prior to being sat at .. how uncomfortable and not good customer service at all ! Its not the customers job to ensure tables are disinfected, we are all triple vaccinated and can make our own choices on where to sit in a cafe! .. seating is also extremely cramped .. we will not be returning and I'm so annoyed that I'm £32 quid out of pocket for what we experienced 😒 this is not a high end cafe, however it's trying to give off that kinda vibe ... pity the food, arm/leg space and customer service don't match the...

So disappointed today. Went in for some lunch with my daughter today. First of all the girl who was making the food was really doing the job of both girls. The one serving was worse than hopeless. Sorry. It it is true. My points card was not working and she did apologise when she handed it back and said it isn't the card it is our machine and it happens loads of times so I questioned it as I was not going get my points so the girl who was cooking sorted it for me which I so appreciated. Then we get our lunch and I am still waiting for a Pink Lemonade so I goes up to the girl who is taking the orders and she replies so sorry I will get it for you.. 15mins later no drink amd my lunch was finished so my daughter went up to ask for it again so sorry and then the drink appeared.. It was disgusting to say the least 2 small pieces of ice in the drink... It was too sweet. It was not made properly....Please put more staff on or retrain the girl who serves as the girl who is doing the cooking should not have to carry the servers...

I visited last month with my daughter who has a milk allergy. After telling the girl at the till this and asking what drinks from the cold drink menu she could have I was told, "any, we can substitute the milk" I confirmed this is an allergy with the member of staff 3 times. My daughter had an allergic reaction within an hour. I called back the next day to ask the ingredients , 3 items in the drink had milk in them, the manager took my number and passed this onto head office who after investigation informed me the staff member didn't remember this (my daughter has been allergic to milk for years and everywhere we go it is the first thing we tell them) and offered me a voucher. To think I would risk bringing my daughter here again is ridiculous, we have avoided any reaction for years and to have this happen was quite upsetting. We won't be back and if you have an allergy/intolerance or dietary requirement that you adhere to I would...

Sunday visit and sign says it closes at 4:30 ... Currently/just (@ 3:04pm) been asked to quickly order hot food as they shut early on a Sunday so the kitchen will be closing very soon. I cannot see anything on the menu that takes a hour and a half to cook. Very nice staff member did take my order as I was at the rear of the queue of three couples, and the only one ordering food.. That was delivered before I got to the till. Most of the seating blocked off so only couples able to sit for a coffee really. Close to £30 for nachos, an adult soup a child soup and 3 diet cokes. From 3:30 we have enjoyed the amazing ambience of crashing cutlery, banging plates, and the clattering of cups. Not going to be a return visit for me but food was lovely.

Set in the historic Quarry Street in Hamilton, Scotland, D'Nisi is an independent Scottish coffee chain that specialises in in-store roasted coffee. It's clean and well kept, the staff are friendly and courteous, the coffee, (there's a choice of blends), is excellent and the full breakfast very good and well priced. Definitely worth a visit.
