Arrived between lunch and dinner service, waited half an hour for someone to take our food order, seemed we were forgotten about and had to flag someone down. Waited again to order drinks after starters, despite asking if we could order whilst starters were cleared. Asked for water, never arrived. Waited 45 minutes for mains for 4 out of 6 mains, waited a further 20 minutes for the missing 2 mains by which point everyone else had finished. What was served did not match what was on the menu, missing items with no communication. When we asked, we were told "the kitchen sent it out like that and never told us". Mussels portion size was poor, too many weren't cleaned or prepared adequately rendering them inedible. Had to ask twice for the bread we ordered, which arrived 10 minutes after the 20 minute wait for the mussles. By this point one member of staff, who I assume was the manager, became overbearing when communicating with us - clearly stressed by the disastrous service and adding to the atmosphere of the restaurant, which was tense. No glasses cleared from the table until after we asked for the bill, staff were absent as often as possible. We were told the last round would be taken off because of the "mix up". The bill was delivered and one drink had been removed, not a round. At this point we complained, which was met without an ounce of customer service skills. The manager seemed to take the feedback personally and said she didn't appreciate us telling her how to do her job. Spending more time on the floor communicating with customers about wait times and keeping drinks topped up is how you handle a slow/difficult service, abandoning diners only makes the situation worse. But they don't need advice on how to do their jobs.

I worked in this venue, had my first drink here and have continued to frequent over the years with family and friends. Sadly no more, or at least whilst under the...

After a fine wander through Pollok Park, where the only thing more majestic than the Highland cows was my steadily growing hunger, I found myself lured by the siren call of Eala Bhan—which, if ye didn’t ken, means “White Swan” in the Gaelic. A fitting name, because this place is a rare bird indeed.

I popped in for lunch, stomach growling louder than a Glaswegian seagull, and settled on the steak and frites from their lunch menu. Now, I’ve eaten steak from the Highlands to the Lowlands and even the occasional dodgy service station, so I like to think I know my meat. And let me tell ye—this was a treat.

First off, credit where credit's due: my plate arrived exactly 19 minutes and 25 seconds after ordering. I only timed it because I was debating whether to eat the napkin or the menu. The price was shockingly reasonable, especially given the quality and generous portion. The steak was tender enough to make a grown man weep, the frites crispier than a January morning, and the sauce? Och aye—it was the kind of velvety, flavour-packed drizzle that could redeem even a tattie scone disaster.

I asked for my steak medium, but it came closer to well-done. Normally that would ruffle my sporran a wee bit, but the flavours were so spot-on, I let it slide. Besides, the staff were absolute gems—warm, cheery, and just the right amount of nosy. Like a good Scottish auntie, they made you feel...

This is a local bar located near pollockshaws west train station and opposite Pollock park.It is a friendly well run establishment with a nice atmosphere. Would have given it 5 stars if the menu on it's website advertised the correct prices for food,on it's site a veggie burger which was fine was priced at £7,but on arrival the menu stated £11 (false advertising?) People on a budget are going to be annoyed, which my partner and I were.We stayed due to the fact that we were in a party and it was the first time we had been out since lockdown...unfortunately one if the staff when enquired to about the online menu prices, responded by saying it was an old menu!!; sorry but I'm afraid that it is not going to help your business if your menu prices online are advertised differently from the offer when you arrive.I enjoyed my evening and the staff were nice Dog friendly too.pleade update your website thanks...it will deter people from coming back...

Decent pint, very friendly staff, I'll go back again to eat, but for a quick pint it was fine, a little over £4 for the cheapest lagers, Amstel, Heineken, they also have Morretti and a few others for pennies more, definitely worth a visit. Well I went back for food and was bitterly dissapointed, people were also walking out due to being ignored after being seated, staff seemed unsure as to what they were doing and tables were lying full of plates/glasses etc, food was average at best, I'll give the place 6 months max.

Very very disappointed. Went with a friend after being recommended to us. Unfortunately the mussels were second class with lots of barnacles which had broken off into the sauce so really spoilt the meal for me. Friend was not overly impressed with hers, waited ages for her wedges to be served that she’d almost finished her main. Service was very poor, after initial order taken for a drink, we weren’t asked for another one or asked how are meal was! Had to go to the bar to pay as no one came near.
