I had a meal with a chef friend of mine a while ago, I believe 1st of August and I forgot to post a review, well here it is. I come to crieff a lot for work but I have never eaten at g's. Big mistake. Without a doubt the best, honest, flavour packed and well executed meal I've had there. Bar none. There was a boudin noir special on at the time which I had. Simply done with some apple puree, np need to do much when the ingredient is of such high quality. Just perfect. Little dijon mustard, little salad. Awesome. The I had steak frites which was probably one of the best sirloins I've ever had. Seasoned, cooked and rested beautifully. Delicious fries and sauce. Again, when the ingredient is good, no messing about just cook it well, which the chef did. And I mean cooked perfectly. Tarte tatin special that night which I had to have, and it was just perfect. Pastry tasted and looked homemade, which not a lot of places do. Not too sweet, just perfect. Great vibe in the restaurant, very friendly waitress and manager. I believe this restaurant is soon to swap hands. I just want to say I wish I had come sooner and more often and good luck in the future. One of the best meals I've ever had. Compliments to the chef and good luck to whomever takes over I wish you all the best. The bar has been set high.
All the best, the man in the heavy metal tshirt.
Oh and reasonably priced for hiw amazing it was. I've certainly paid more for a lot lesser quality...

We had a reservation at G’s Bistro in Crieff for a group of 18 at 5:30 PM. From the moment we arrived, the tone was cold and unwelcoming. Instead of a greeting, we were immediately told, “Remember, you have to leave by 7:50.” Not exactly how you want to be welcomed when bringing a large group to a local business.
Throughout the evening, every request—whether for water, extra bread, or basic questions—was met with visible irritation and rudeness, especially from the owner. What made this worse was watching other diners (mostly white and in smaller groups) being treated with friendliness, patience, and warmth. The contrast was blatant and upsetting.
Our group left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. No one should feel they’re being treated differently because of who they are. Hospitality should be about inclusion, not exclusion. Based on our experience, I would not...
Read moreThe French onion soup was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted — rich, deeply flavorful, perfectly balanced. And that’s saying a lot, considering I spent several months living in Paris. The meat was absolutely stunning: incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and full of flavor. Every bite was a delight. The desserts were also excellent — beautifully presented and delicious. Service was impeccable. Our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, and made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere of the restaurant is equally worth mentioning: every detail is carefully curated, creating a warm, elegant and...
