Giulio's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Scotland

Having frequented Giulios on several occasions whilst living in the area, we knew it was the place to go when we decided to serve a fish and chips tea to our guests at our wedding. From our first approach to the fabulous staff to the day itself, the service and help were second to none. Each member of staff we spoke to beamed with excitement at the thought of being involved. We dropped our food choices off a few days before our wedding and left it with them. The suppers arrived promptly and with fabulous presentation. Personalised stickers and each persons name written clearly made the allocation of meals simple. Little extras like bottles of sauce and sides just added to the excellent customer service. Many of our guests were not from the area and raved about the quality and portion sizes. To finish this off, they also sent a huge bouquet of flowers to us and kept in touch to make sure everything was to our liking. Ordered via just eat at 19:30pm and got told it would arrive at 20:40pm. It's now 20:55pm so we phoned Giulio's direct who told us their driver has JUST left. So 1hour and half and it's still not here. I understand that the place may be busy but common courtesy is to at least offer a call back to your customer if your estimated time has changed as it roughly takes 20minutes to get to our house from Falkirk so we probably won't be eating our DINNER until about 21:30pm 2 hours after we placed our order. I just hope the food is worth it. Phoned back at 21:15 asking if they could contact their driver to see how far away he was as our house can sometimes be difficult to find and was and the girl became rather argumentative and very rude, then hung up on my husband! Guilio’s in Falkirk is celebrating after receiving two major food awards in 2021. I could hardly wait to try out their fish & chips. My friend went in at around 6.15pm Friday 17/12/21 & ordered a small fish supper & a single special fish, which we ate in her car 🚗.. but they got the order wrong & put chips in with my special fish. The bread crumbs were just about right, in that they weren't like ruff cast but were just a bit to thin that the fish broke up when I tried to lift it up, but it tasted ok. The batter on my friend's fish was nice & crisp BUT I had to leave a few of the chips, most were a bit too soft & as u can see there were a few bad ones.
