Established and friendly cafe with freshly made lunches + cakes. Cosy interior with friendly service, busy at popular times. Staff very helpful with getting a table reserved. Classic food options with sandwiches, soups and some other dishes. Menu labeled clearly for some dietary requirements. Highlight was gluten free cake kept in separate containers and homemade. Lime + blueberry slice was excellent. Staff happy to answer GF questions and offer alternatives. Would recommend for a light lunch in a convenient central Oban location. Friends enjoyed other non-GF cakes.

We found this cafe when we went to look at the Oban Distillery. The choice of alternative milks was excellent and they had a range of teas. The tea came in pots and my earl grey was tea leaves. A very nice cuppa indeed. We sat outside with a view of Kerrera island, but they had inside seating too. The outdoor seating had an awning which protects from light showers. The prawn sandwich was fresh and served with side salad and crisps. Lovely lunch stop. Opening times 9 until 4 Tuesday to Friday. Saturday is 9 until 3:30pm.

(Separate toaster = peace of mind.) Then when I told them I love baking, the owner declared she had just baked a GF blueberry and lime cake, could I wait till she iced it so I can have a taste? And wow - you wouldn’t have a clue it’s GF. It’s a winner.

Would I Recommend - ✔ YES Would I Return - ✔ YES

Great little cafe serving up soups, sandwiches, salads, scones, cakes and other pastries. Located opposite the entrance to the Oban Distillery, I stopped by to grab a coffee before my Distillery Tour. The place is quite small, and it was packed, with practically no standing room at the front counter but service was fast so I grabbed an Americano and sat outside. As I sat outside, the most delicious smell (like fresh baked bread) filled the air..naturally I got hungry and went back in and ordered a Ham and Cheese Toastie. Welllll..... the toastie tasted nothing like the beautiful bread smell in the air BUT.....it was still delicious - salty and cheesy.👌🏻 Turns out that delicious smell came from the Distillery (I confirmed this during my tour)🤷‍♀️🙈.

So in the end, instead of "just coffee" I had both coffee and lunch. I can safely say I'm glad I did, and hopefully on my next visit, I can try out some of...
