Would not even give this place one star! First time trying here and booked table for 8pm waited 45 minutes for starters which was bad enough. I stated I was coeliac when I booked and also when server took our order. I ate the starter then waited another half hour for main course. When my gluten free venison came out it was with black pudding. I asked the server to clarify it was definitely gluten free he said it was I asked him to double check he went to the kitchen and returned and removed my plate saying he would sort it. Absolutely fed up by this point, the time the food took to come out then giving me food with gluten. We then said enough is enough and said we were leaving, we were told would only need to pay for our starters and drinks we wouldn't be charged for the main course, we then paid our bill including the drinks we left on the table!! Really need appropriate training on food allergies and step up the service, just hoping the starter was...
Read moreWe booked a table last week, is a fantastic place for dinner. Little hidden gem I think I read somewhere and it's true. Lighting and mood was lovely. The place looks beautiful and cozy . The staff were fantastic, attentive but not over the top in any way. The food was the best I have had in a long time! It was hot , clearly made from scratch and with fresh produce. The menu is forever changing so when I looked it up I found the wrong one .. but that's just because I'm a picky eater, the choice when we were in was brilliant.
Price - I will not complain was worth every penny, however the card machine didn't seem to have a tip option so if that's something you like to do carry cash.
To be honest that was my only disappoint was I didn't have a note in my purse to leave with the bill.
Will be back

Read moreI was looking forward to visit this restaurant for ages, the name of the restaurant itself it’s beautiful but the food was a bit disappointing, this was the restaurant in falkirk maybe the one In Linlithgow is better.
I had the calamari for starter which was soggy and stacked up with tempura vegetables underneath to make up for volume and it was also soggy. For Main I had chicken Caesar salad which was sold in bits, add on chicken, add on bacon which was actually ham and not crispy and all, the croutons were deep fried but very soggy and not crunch. I guess the salad price is just the lettuce, onions and the dressing? For a main it was ridiculously small and the dressing left a lot to wish for, it’s a shame because the best part was the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was ok overall but I won’t be rushing...
