Food generally fine. When it comes.
Today though, not a busy day. Saturday. 10 min for order to be ready. Porridge for the kid doesn't arrive, it's all he'll eat from the breakfast menu here. Awkwardly have to ask for it, 5 min later it comes, no spoon. Away they go to get a spoon. Stir it up - lukewarm (more luke than warm). I awkwardly have to ask about getting one NOT cold, 10-15 min later we gotta get going. Still no porridge.
I'm actually not fussy about food, I just have this wild idea that it should be edible exist / arrive in a reasonable amount of time
You simply should not have to go out of your way as a customer to try and get the provider to make your food edible / arrive. When a place get it so wrong it becomes your civic duty to give a bad review.
There's no excuse for the world's biggest chain fast food restaurant being unable to provide an edible pot of porridge after 30 min. Apathetic ineptitude.
*I want to point out that I did complain to the manager before leaving. I was offered a refund (for the porridge itself) or asked if I wanted to wait while they got another porridge. I took the refund as I figured it was more likely to materialize. That does not make make up for the exceedingly frustrating and shambolic experience. Read morePlaced a £38 breakfast order. We are very regular here and spend so much money. Food was missing from the bag and I waited 40 minutes?? For a McDonald’s?! That’s a crazy amount of time. Ended up having to blast my horn because they clearly weren’t even getting the missing food. My baby in the back was sick everywhere from crying so much because they took so long. I asked to speak to a manager about it.
The customer service here from the manager Kat was so bad all she was saying was “I understand BUT..” and making lame excuses. I was NOT greeted with an apology for having to wait so long, or an offer of new hot food- which all other establishments would have done immediately. I would’ve been more than happy with this. I ended up getting pretty annoyed with her and gathering up the drinks and food to get my money back. We then went elsewhere in Westhill for a 5* service!!!
Shame on this manager. The first step of a good manager would have been to apologise for the 40 minute wait and for missing and cold food and to offer new fresh and hot food. Shambles.
I will add this review is purely about the manager. There’s some really nice young girls and guys who work there who I’ve come to know of. No wonder a couple of them have told me it’s an awful...
Read moreAbsolutely awful. Never been before as up on holiday. Thought it was a new one but no, been there 4 years!! It was very busy and expected to wait a while, but not 1hr 10mins. Staff were in short supply and the duty manager was very young (nothing wrong with young if you have good customer services skills) and overwhelmed. No communication with customers as to what the problem was. We had to ask and never got an answer. Just I’m sorry then walked off. No one front of shop at all. Several people asking why drive through were being served but not inside. They ended up closing the doors to let the staff sort out orders. This in itself was a shambles. People asking for refunds and having to write down their ordered again. Will never be back and I don’t think many people will be. Sadly a company this size will ignore these comments as the profits and business is too big to actually care as people always go. Very sad, and on a Saturday night, there needs to be more staff and more managers that have customer service training. NOT A HAPPY MEAL...
