Okay we enjoyed our lunch, but just felt the place was a bit crowded during a pandemic. Stuck us at a table right in the middle by the counter. I asked to move tables when another one became available and the waitress said no as it was a table for 4. Then a couple came in and lo and behold got that table.

Edit. We went again at the weekend for breakfast and totally feel we putting the staff out for asking for anything. Just a general we don't want to be here vibe from the staff.

Also: -I asked for table water, had to ask again. Asked for brown sauce, got tomato. No butter with the toast.

I supported Miros during the height of lockdown buying takeaway breakfast rolls and coffees, but we've decided...

Pros:

Some staff are polite Interior is warm and clean Nice cakes

Cons:

Waited over 30 minutes to be served Asked for paper/pens to keep kids entertained, but didn't receive, despite it all being available on a shelf (not allowed to get up yourself unless for toilet) Asked for bill to be split, but got overcharged 2 pounds for the privilege. It's simple division, but I don't think they are capable of this. Coffee cups are very small. Better value over the road at Costa. 5 pounds for a milkshake? Really?

Needless to say,...

Lack of social distancing inside with all tables full, staff not wearing face masks. Also cleaning between customers was just a wipe with a wet cloth over table. Slow service and when asked about cake options we were directed to go take a look and our server wandered off so had to wait again for next server to be available. Price is expensive, £4.25 for a slice of carrot cake! Also got change wrong as bill was £14.95 for 3 coffees, carrot cake and roll, change out of £20 was £4.95. Given the bad experience we decided the difference...

Would definitely recommend the halloumi baguette and the maltesar slice! The mint and cucumber water was a lovely touch. The lemon cake was dry and would put me off trying any of the other cakes. Flat white was also more of a flatuccino. Prices are quite pricey/ competitive due to location but nice to go here instead of Costa. Visited on a windy rainy day and the door was very drafty and didn’t close properly after customers. Hopefully it’s been fixed since we visited (2nd January) or if you visit remember so sit further in!

I came here with 2 students with accessibility needs and the staff were fantastic, one gentleman opened the door for us and let us choose our seat, the waitress was so nice and professional, she accommodated both my students for their orders and was pleasant to chat to. My students were over the moon with their orders. We all left with smiles on our faces, one of my students wanted to show his cup of tea that he had.

Very nice place to sit in, it drew me in immediately with the retro sort of cabin feel going on. Food was decent. I enjoyed the steak wrap, although I felt it could have been a touch cheaper. Tomato and basil and soup was very basic, but pleasant enough. Chicken and veg soup was great. Freshly squeezed OJ a nice touch, and I'd recommend the chai latte.
