Musicker — Restaurant in Scotland

We arrived on a very wet day in Rothesay. We had our 10 week old child and her pram. The staff were lovely, moved a table for us to get in and settled with the baby. We got a glass of water on arrival, the soup was unique ingredients, so we were offered a small taster to try, it was sublime. We got a soup and toastie deal plus coffees, I decided to have my coffee with the meal but my wife had hers later, again this was no problem to the staff. We got some cake too, the fruit loaf was delicious the cheese scone was amazing, different to your dry scones in other places. The staff were so attentive to us, there was music in the background that was really nice and not to loud, they even offered to turn it down more for the baby. The place is so clean and fresh, my wife used the baby change and said it was spotless, they have some wipes and nappy sacks in the baby change too. There seemed to be regulars and the interaction with the staff again showed why people would come back again and again.

Friendly, clean place right by the ferry terminal. I visited twice and had the figgy flapjack (amazing) and a cooked vegan breakfast (haggis, sausages, beans, tomatoes and toast), plus pots of tea. If they had clearly marked vegan options, perhaps with a small "v", I would have given five stars. It's a bit annoying having to ask and a waste of the serving staff's time to have to go and check. Definitely double check if you have any dietary requirements, as the woman serving on my second visit told me that "everything is vegan" and I had to get a second opinion, as I knew this...

What a wonderful experience and food. We came here at the end of a couple of days on Bute, we’d visit Musicker again if we were here longer. Such a warm friendly welcome and service. The coffee and homemade vegan cakes were fantastic, and with a selection of four it was hard to choose, but we had apple & cinnamon and chocolate & black cherry. Delicious! The vegan savoury food options looked really good too. The cafe has a lovely relaxed feel to it with good music and seating arrangements that feel private and cosy.
