The Diner — Restaurant in Scotland

Disappointed with our visit. Four out of five of us are vegetarian and there were barely any suitable options – really poor considering how easy it is these days to cater for everyone. We ended up paying nearly £50 for four portions of chips and cheese and a drinks, and honestly the quality was shocking.

It’s such a shame because the place has the potential to be something really fun – you could lean into the American diner vibe with loaded fries, interesting dips or fun twists on the classics. Sadly, this just felt like an overpriced afterthought.

We visited The Diner in Rothesay on a Sunday lunchtime during a weekend break on Bute. We are a family of three including mummy, daddy, and four year old daughter. We all enjoyed our meals, mummy had Macaroni & chips, daddy had an all day breakfast, and the wee one got a cheese roll. Mummy also indulged with a vanilla milkshake.

The food was tasty, and served quickly, the milkshake was described as "wow!", and we received lovely service from the staff who were all friendly and helpful. Overall, very much worth a visit, we'd definitely...

Visited yesterday morning before catching the ferry home, I visit bute 2-3 times per month I previously eat at the diner when working on bute and was very satisfied with food and service, on this occasion the food was of a high standard however service fell short the young lady server was quite abrupt not nasty but by no means friendly, we've all had a very bad 18 months we should be working very hard to build our business and get our customers pooring back, a smile and nice to see you again approach is...
