Pepe's — Restaurant in Scotland

Previously I've been there and the food has been ok but this week I went in with my partner and we got the chicken burrito we asked for one mild and one very hot and I got the very hot and one mild so we asked for a fresh one as it wasn't what we ordered also our drinks were flat. We told the staff member they gave us the wrong item and they being very rude but gave us a fresh one. As we were eating the old guy in specks kept staring at us whilst eating which was very off putting so we left. Awful experience. Staff kept talking to one another whilst serving customers as if they were hassle. Chef's uniforms were absolutely disgusting, one of them kept wiping his hands in his apron. Seriously basic hygiene lesson needed. When I got the lamb burger it was a tiny roll and definitely not a fresh lamb patty, which you obviously expect. It was one of them that you buy frozen, like a packet of 10 for £2. Felt more like a kid's burger to be brutally honest. Felt cheated at £2.49 for such a lame tiny burger. The chain claims its halal but theres no mention of this anywhere so you need to ask. Room for potential but definitely one to avoid in...

I had the chic'n'rice box (hot) - it was delicious. Box was packed with nippy rice, and covered with chunks of succulent tasty chicken breast - I would definitely buy this again. Also had regular chips - another recommendation from me, I think going for peri-peri fries to accompany the hot rice would have been a spice too far for me!
