Pizzeria Il Fiume — Restaurant in Scotland

There were 14 of us booked that night, and we found the service, meal, and company, were excellent. But we were all very uncomfortable as we were far too hot eating our meal, even though they had air conditioning. We asked for the window to be opened, and they did that, but it was still very hot inside. We also had difficulty reading the menu as it was really dark inside too. It got that bad some of us had to go outside for fresh air to cool us down. But all that it would have took was to switch on the air conditioning unit and open the curtains so we could see properly. But here's the bit we couldn't understand, is, they switched on the air conditioning as we were leaving. To be honest it is a very reasonable wee eatery, but they need to consider us...

Very disappointed this used to be a lovely restaurant with Amazing food, our party arrived slightly early but restaurant was very quiet we were ignored until just after our slotted time, we had garlic mushrooms for our starter they were cold + tasted gritty+ like mud,our mains had no flavour whatsoever it was the most bland food I've ever tasted,the staff were miserable+ not very helpful the restaurants Aircon was broken and there was a small Dyson fan which was up so high nobody could benefit from it which made it very uncomfortable+ sticky on such a very hot day+ to top it all we were overcharged. Started with sharing their cheesy garlic bread, which is real authentic Italian and large like a pizza, not like the supermarket style. Following that, we had the lasagna, which was delicious and came with fries but was very filling. I sampled one of their large fresh pizzas, which had excellent taste. Rounded off with a glass of red house wine. Our Italian hosts, including Pierro, were very attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere I found was peaceful and out of reach of mobile signal - yay !
