My wife and I ate breakfast here earlier today. I ordered the "fluffy waffles". First, there was only one, and it certainly wasn't fluffy, but it was filling and included plenty of toppings. My wife had avocado toast with an egg. We have noticed that European avocados are flavorless when compared to their Californian and Mexican brethren. Her breakfast this morning did nothing to change her impression. But she also said that her breakfast was filling. For almost the entire time we ate breakfast, the staff were either juicing fruit or grinding coffee. The experience was a bit like eating breakfast in a dentist's waiting room. We should have asked them to take a ten-minute break while we ate, so that's on us. But I hope they will read this review and learn from it. Arrived at 1015. Came especially for the waffles. Ordered Nutella and biscoff waffles to be told they weren’t currently doing waffles as they didn’t have any batter made up. Pretty unbelievable given it’s a large chunk of their breakfast menu. Table beside us were then served waffles!!!!! So ordered sourdough with bacon, black pudding and a grilled egg. Asked if I would take scrambled egg as they are busy in the kitchen! Changed order again. Ordered fresh orange to be told they don’t have enough oranges to make fresh orange at the minute! Absolutely rubbish breakfast experience and had come through to Inverness and chosen here specifically....

We were only passing through Inverness briefly and I’m very sad I can’t become a regular here! What a fantastic cafe with an interesting, imaginative menu and loads of veggie/vegan options.
