Travelled up from Galloway for Reytons gig so needed fed first. Arrived just after 4.30pm with my daughter. Shown straight to our reserved table on the raised platform, both if us are vegan and gluten free. Handed an extensive menu, drinks came sharpish food ordered, taken by staff member with full knowledge of what we could and couldn't order. Food arrived promptly and presentation was top drawer. We are both experienced restaurant goers and are fully aware of the pitfalls awaiting gluten free and vegan customers. All 4 choices we made were excellent; all food was top quality and filled us up ready for a night of gigging. 10% service charge was highlighted on bill and can be removed, left an extra tip. Food was excellent, service was impeccable. Will definitely be back for a pre-gig fuelling stop as easy to get into town.

Had a catch-up evening with work folk at this bar, most of us were hungry for food. Mac n' cheese was delightful, meats (haddock, burger) were good, and the fries were average. I was curious as to why the television would play the video of one song but the audio was of a different song (and of a different genre too). Other than that, atmosphere was calm; it has that early 20th century aura - which shouldn't be too surprising given that this establishment was founded in 1912. I am also posting this review as a means of sharing the food menu - which I wasn't able to find prior to coming here. Although the fault was on me to have not checked the Corona Bar website (which discloses the menu), I'll share photos here for anyone who may make that same mistake! Overall a a very decent range of choices for a bar.

Deceptively large traditional pub with plenty of seating and a large bar area. Very quiet when we went in Saturday afternoon but gets lively on weekend nights with a DJ and Karaoke. Loads of old fashioned character and well priced drinks. Facilities a little dated in places and maybe could do with a refresh here and there but overall still one of the better pubs on the South Side.

Food: average meal was about 13 quid a head. The main dishes said they came with chips. What came was over cooked chips numbering about 8. The meat we had, the burger and then steak pie were overcooked and then not very warm- I am unsure if the burger was cooked from fresh. The onion rings were definitely frozen and then cooked. The fish batter was way over cooked and was not nice. As for the chilli bowl….it was horrific. A splattering of shop bough nachos, a small amount of chilli and 5 mini bowls of toppings. Again it was cold.

As for the venue , well it’s clean. Just. There is a smell of stale beer when you walk in and the place is unlit and gloomy- not what I expected.

The staff were very friendly however a review is a review and I would not...
