My 3 buddies and I stayed in North Berwick for a golf trip recently. We were lucky to find The Grange one evening as it was just down the road from where we were staying. We had the BEST ribs that night and all agreed we would have walked miles to come here! Joanne was outstanding. We told her we would love to come back, but the following day we were playing 36 and might not get there before she closed. No worries- she would stay open for us! And she even found us a taxi for the following morning to pick us up when we couldn’t find one! Now that’s service! We ended up eating there THREE times we loved it that much! We are a party of 5 and we were immediately greeted and sat. Friendly and pleasant service. The restaurant is clean and well organized. We ate 1) Oh so blue burger 2) Mac n cheese 3) sausage 4) blue cheese, pine nut and bacon salad with seared beef. The main courses were flavorful and felt like homemade. We shared the Fat Matt for dessert, rich and filling. The cost was reasonable and fair for the quality of the food and service. If you visit North Berwick, do not miss The Grange. ...
Read moreGoing with the reviews we thought we must try this place .My wife got what was supposed to be sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce...the sauce was a bland gravy the steak tasted like it had been put in a brevil grill the chips obviously cooked in old fat ...my fish and chips very poor also the chips again obviously cooked in old fat the batter on my fish also tasted of old fat and over done We ate as much as we dared more out of courtesy but wishing we both had just not bothered it certainly wasnt the food we expected ...hopefully the cook was just having a bad day and going with the good reviews previously...
