Love the sparkle horse it's been standing on the corner for years and will be around for a long long time as it really does tick all the boxes for a cool west end bar and eat out option ! It's vintage to the core and has a real hearty feel to it with nice staff and customers who totally make you feel welcome ! The food choices are good for you and your family or friends and I'm sure you will all be able to pick a nice option from the menu and the wine section ! I really like the sparkle horse when I'm down the west end and have visited many times over the years and will continue to do so over the summer months ! I'd recommend the chicken burger with a salad and fries as it's a go to staple and always lives upto it's option of a well tasteful choice ;) if it's a nice day out side then the outside seating area is a welcome bonus and offers a nice breeze of fresh air The bar itself is very cosy and will be a good choice on lesser days if the weather doesn't hold up or it's a little chilly on the western front . All in all the menus and drinks are well priced and doesn't hit the pocket to hard so it's a very viable option to visit if your on the local area or fancy a jaunt down the west end for...

There was a young barmaid (dark hair, high waisted trousers, looked to be in her 20's) on her phone on the customer side of the bar. After a few minutes she approached us in a hostile manner and said "you're normally supposed to express your intentions to the barstaff" we had explained that we were waiting outside our friends flat, that it would be a few minutes until he got back and that we were taking shelter from the storm. We could not believe her manners in how she responded. She was rude and condescending towards us out of the blue and we got up and left. I wanted to give you this feedback as I don't want another customer to have this experience. I unfortunately will not be returning to the bar even though it's location is very convenient for myself and my friends and it seems...
Read moreLove the Sparkle Horse for a midday, evening or anytime at all drink. I’ve not had proper meal food yet but the bar menu selection is always tasty. The staff are cool too and are following all the proper guidelines in the wake of the pandemic. Ideal wee stop off if you’re in the Partick side of the west end or had a nice day at the Kelvingrove and want a relaxing drink afterwards.
Ps. Toilets are spotless too, which can’t be said for too many...
