I heard a lot of good things about Tubbees, but was very disappointed by the service I received there today. The friends I went with were served no problem and given the 50% off eat out to help out discount, as they were told by a member of staff that they could eat outside. When I got served by the same member of staff, I was told that this was a mistake by the server and we couldn’t eat outside so I’d have to pay full price, despite this being their mistake. I asked for a refund and was refused. Only one staff member was genuinely helpful about the whole situation. There was also very little social distancing and the tables close to each other are all open. Won’t be back any time soon unfortunately.
*EDIT
I am responding to your reply of my review, as parts of the information relayed to me are simply incorrect. The other people with me that day were told by the same member of staff that served me that we could sit outside so were (incorrectly) given the discount. When the same member of staff realised her mistake that there was no outdoor seating I was informed I would not receive the discount, which by that point it’s a bit late to fix the mistake, but fair enough. After paying, I then thought about it and decided I would like a refund. So I ASKED a member of staff for a refund for my order as I was not happy and she refused, saying the manager wound handle it I did not ‘Demand’ as the reply insinuates. I had not consumed any of my slush, one sip at most, but was told by a manager that I could not receive a refund because the straw was in the drink. So I had not consumed ‘most of my order’, I had one sip of it at most. Refusing a refund for a product that is largely unconsumed because I wasn’t happy with the quality of service or product is against trading standards. I wasn’t going to take this any further but the accusatory tone of the reply to my review had left me unsatisfied with the way this has been handled, and quite frankly defeats the purpose of the ‘apology’. Perhaps making the booking for sitting in policy more clear and having your staff actually own up to their own mistakes would be better practice, and not being so defensive when replying to customers who might be a little unsatisfied with their visit, it just makes things worse.
Update 2- I sent a message to the emial provided to try and geta refund but was ignored. I hope nobody else has a similar negative expeience, and a word of warning; if you want your money back, dont even...
Read moreI went here yesterday (10/8/21 @1900) for the first time. I purchased the groupon deal, x4 XL slushees. Unknowing to me I picked up the cups that were under the XL shelf, however wrongly under the shelf and were actually jumbo cups. Once the kids had filled up what we thought were the correct cups we were advised that it was the wrong cups and would have to fill up the XL instead. I questioned it as the cups were in the shelf headed XL....the "lab manager" basically said tuff that the kids would need to refill. I questioned where the x4 already made slushees would go and asked in the bin to her reply yes that right in the bin. I was shocked and stated surely not as that is a complete waste to her reply yup but you have wrong filled the wrong size! I said this was not our fault and her reply was "not ours either, must have been another customer putting it in the wrong palce ". I stated that this was terrible customer service and a waste of the 4 already made slushees for us to have to make another 4 XL, her reply was nothing but disgusting and replied oh well, thats what it is. Disgusting customer service and absolutely shocked that instead of advising for next time and giving the slushees already made she would rather bin them and waste the materials too. My kids ages oldest 10 is in utter disbelieve and he is 10 and even understands this is wrong. Plus can I also state with that there is no extra covod measurements in place giving that another customer can touch other cups to wrong replace them...surely if this can happen they should be handed out from behind the...
