Booked a meal at Ibrox for myself and my partner as we are both big Rangers fans, so thought it would be a nice pre Christmas treat, how wrong I was!
Firstly, on arrival the entrance to Argyle House was in darkness, wandered around to Ibrox Suite to be told that is where the restaurant currently is. Would have been helpful to have this signposted or a note when booking. The suite itself is much in need of a refurb, looks very tired and worn.
We were given a table with a pitch view, which initially we were very pleased about as it was an absolutely fantastic view. However, there was a space behind our table and during the meal a succession of children and adults, were hanging around for pictures, climbing up to the glass and playing on the railings. I understand folk want photos, but when you are in for a meal, this is extremely off putting and we felt very uncomfortable. Would surely be better to have an area designated for pitchside pictures away from tables where people are dining.
When we ordered drinks we were told that there was no drinks menu and there was quite a basic selection. However that in itself isn't that big a deal. Starters arrived before the drinks, despite having ordered these twice. We were told there was no charge for the drinks due to our long wait. So we thought, fair enough! Unfortunately the lemonade in my gin wasn't great (tasted as if the syrup in the gun had run out) but decided to just put up with it as everything was so slow.
Starters arrived, I had soup which was fine and my partner the salmon and prawn cocktail which was tiny and he didn't particularly enjoy it. At this point, we started talking about leaving and finding somewhere else to continue our meal/evening. Decided to wait it out and wait we did. Almost an hour for mains - not worth the wait. I had the ravioli which was completely inedible, tasted as if it had been frozen and reheated multiple times. My partner's beef wasn't much better. Informed the waitress and asked for bill for starters as by this point we were absolutely fed up and had no intention of staying. After 10 minutes we were told there would be no charge and left.
Absolutely would not recommend, restaurant was half empty and the food and service was awful for the prices they are charging. There were two young waitresses, who were helpful and seemed to know what they were doing but everyone else was hopeless. On another note, none of the staff had masks. One girl had a lanyard on but none of the rest.
If you fancy a terrible meal in what feels like a down at heel social club/children's play area then go ahead and book it. Great view, but would rather book the Ibrox tour than suffer...

We went on a Sunday and the carvery was on, the food was fantastic and staff were excellent. We had a clean booth with comfortable seats and strong tables overlooking the stunning Ibrox pitch.
It was a starter, carvery and dessert for £37. The starters, a choice of pâté or lentil soup were served quickly and were absolutely delicious, at the carvery you can get 4 different kind of meats we had a bit of everything (Turkey, beef, chicken and pork), lots of different side dishes including massive Yorkshire puddings, mac n cheese, cauliflower cheese, roast and mashed potatoes, roasted veg and mixed veg, with an option of 4 desserts (Chocolate Mousse, Vanilla Cheesecake, Chocolate fudge cake and apple crumble. My partner and I were very happy with the food and really feel like we got our moneys worth.
Would recommend to rangers supporters of any vintage and tourists who are in the area and looking for...
