Fancied indian tonight ya know like ya do, drove to town with a choice of two we haven't been to for a long long time on bath st first choice we were too early apparently even though the doors were open @ 4.30pm waiter informed us they don't open until 5pm so drove approximately 20 seconds across the road to the open & serving Namaste not the name we remember was known as the belash but anyway glad we were turned away from the 1st choice as the food was wonderful, hot on service, tasty not too spicy (my personal preference), menu stated lamb was cooked to melt in your mouth consistency which I was a little dubious about but true to statement was absolutely just that! & plenty of it too so much so I couldn't eat all & took the rest home, staff were very attentive & extremely polite will definitely return & believe me I'm a little bit fussy when I go out to eat as it doesn't come cheap so the service is just as important as the food to me, it all matters & we will return or even order for a takeaway if we don't feel like going...
Read moreWe dined at your establishment last night. Although the restaurant was unusually quiet for a Saturday evening, with only two other occupied tables, we experienced a prolonged wait of approximately 5-10 minutes before our drinks order was taken, and subsequently, a further delay in being able to place our food order. Drinks a little on the warm side so maybe look at fridge temperature and adjust so bottled beers are cold. We ordered three appetizers for two diners. Regrettably, the lamb chops were inedible; excessively fatty and undercooked. The lamb appeared to be a low-quality, frozen product possibly lacking in flavor. The server adjusted the bill after observing the remaining food left. We were content to pay for our order as we had placed. The main courses were satisfactory; the garlic rice was excellent. However, the naan bread was flat, and we prefer the larger, fluffier variety. We wish you all the best and look forward to dining at your establishment...
Read moreThis was the worst Indian food I have ever had. I ordered food online to be collected at 7:00. I went there at ten to seven and was told my food had been there a long time. It was on the floor behind the bar going cold. I was initially worried that it didn't smell of anything. When I got home and opened the food it looked dreadful. It was almost cold and the "free" papadom was soggy and damp. The puri was virtually uncooked and covered in congealed grease. The mixed kebab was no better. The onion bahjee was soggy and tasteless and the chicken tikka dry and overcooked. The main course was even worse. The dal maharani was a dirty brown colour and it was inedible so went in the bin. The chicken Malwani was reminiscent of a Homepride cook in sauce of the 80s. The rice was cold and tasteless. I will never go to this restaurant again and if you've got any sense you won't...
