Taj Mahal — Restaurant in Sefton

Hands down the best curry we've ever eaten in our lives. And we eat/make a lot of curry. Fresh ingredients easy to see and taste, with freshly chopped coriander leaf standing out from the first bite. Lemon rice at this place truly is lemon rice (unlike many places) and it is beautiful, as is the chilli rice containing lots of full cooked chilli's (not for those with tender taste buds). Atmosphere fantastic for couples and family's alike. Got fairly busy, but still ample space between tables and service remained top form. Prices are also great. My only improvement if I really had to suggest one would be the addition of a tray of mints towards the exit. But don't let that stop you. If you're in the area, get into this place! Its a top challenger for best in the country and its most definitely won the north west top...

The food was excelent cooked to perfection a great meal apart from one thing the only reason i gave it 3 stars was the fact i ordered chipati's with my curry and their idea of a chipati is a wholemeal Mission wrap really dissapointed a lovely resturant great well cooked food and dumped with 2 of these insted of chipatis meal was brilliant £50.60 for pompadoms and dips + 2 starters +2 main meals and 1 nan , chips and these 2 crappy wraps identifiying as chipatis and they charged £1.75 each fir them and you can buy a pack of 8 for £1.80 unbelieveable a quality restraunt like this serves up crappy Mission wraps insted of chipats surely a chef as good as this guy seems to be judging by the food can make proper chipatis There is a photo attatched of what they serve...

Unprofessional and rude customer service.

I ordered food on uber eats and was given an estimated time of 20:05-20:25. I waited until 20:35 and then I called the restaurant to enquire how long the food was going to be. I was spoken to with utter disrespect and in an impolite manner. I mark his words " I don't have a time to give you as we are short of drivers and you should order from somewhere else next time" and then went on and cut the call off on me. I then decided to go collect the food so I called again after 10 more minutes and as soon as I gave him my address he cut the call off, before I could say anything else. As much as the food was lovely and very tasty, it put me in a bad mood due to the service I had received, I will not be ordering...
