I'm writing this after returning home from visiting your park after the recent Mexican festival you guys had on. At the end of our visit my little boy was waiting to go on a ride before we went home. After queuing, with many others for close to 20 minutes we were told, along with some 20 - 30 other people that the Paradox ride was closed. My son was literally next to go on. The two male attendants said nothing as the ride before us went on, we continued to watch and wait, before telling the whole que the ride was closed after they got off.p I actually thought this was an attempt of humour and they were having a laugh with the guests who had waited. One guest actually asked are you having a laugh? One of the attendants simply responded with 'my bad we're closed' When another person said but we have waited, the attendant shrugged and told them 'not my problem, see ya' At this another person shouted not to speak to her like that and swore at him in anger They stopped speaking to the que and slunk round the corner. When I was leaving I asked them why they had let us wait, get to the front to be told you're not going on? To which he just said to me we are closed Someone must've heard me shout because he turned to someone and said it was somebody complaining that the ride was closed. A younger woman came to speak to me who asked what she could do. When I told her what I have written above she simply said that's not the right attitude to have and she will speak to him, and that the ride was now closed. And all she could do was speak to him. She told me that the park closed at 9. Unless I had walked straight by it or not read it your closing times are not on the tickets, were not part of the itinerary for the festival and are not visible (that I could see) in the park itself. I asked why the people queuing were being told to wait when they had empty seats on the ride, and she said they are not allowed to fill them. Is this correct and what's the reason? I've never known of a ride anywhere were you build seats you know people cannot go on. When I walked out I saw a que for another ride, with more people joining, none of them were being told to leave, the ride was still going, when I went back to speak to the woman to ask why if the park closed at 9, all she said was that they shouldn't be. The attendant who I raised the complaint about was staring at me and when I asked why he had let us all wait he told me it was because he did not know the time. I told the woman I thought it was a joke, to which she had no reply, because how can you be told the park is closed after queuing to walk straight out to see other people who have paid money just like you staying in the que for rides? In fact people were openly joining them! I also asked if he thought that was acceptable to say 'my bad' to a 7 year old boy who had waited patiently for a ride. I didn't get a response let alone an apology. I've never known this level of disrespect towards it's patrons in any theme park I've visited in the UK or abroad. I understand you have a closing time and an operation after all guests have left to carry out but nowhere do I know people are allowed to que up not to go on their ride. If the attendants had even spoken to the que and said this ride closes in 10 minutes, not everyone may be able to ride, then fair enough, everyone would've either left or taken their chances. Or even fill the seats that were left, then tell the que sorry this is the last ride. But everyone was ignored. Then I thought after a busy day maybe the park was short staffed, you don't have enough people to operate rides and stop people joining the ques, but I walked past at least four fairground workers riding the bumper cars and having a laugh! On the way out there was a huge que for the waltzers too, which more people were joining. And I could still see rides going on as I got to the car. Disgusted with the service given and...
Read moreVisited on the 1/6/24 only wanted to have a walk around and let my kids have a go on the stalls as my partner and one child don't like rides. It was also a bit late on in the day so I was not willing to pay for a full day of rides just for a hour. Only one entrance into the park now which was staffed and looked like you needed a wristband to enter. Whilst I do agree with this to stop gangs of kids hanging about inside, I do think it will effect the parks profits as we didn't spend any money there. From reading other newer reviews we will also probably won't go back as I will not be willing to pay full price for two non riders (due to medical conditions) to enter. Non riders, in the same family group, should be allowed in free when entering with paying riders
4 years ago (2020) - Long queue to buy tokens (it did go quite quickly), had to spend £4 on two cards that's before getting any ride tokens. We went on the log flume and the caterpillar ride. When at the front of the queue for the ghost train, the young worker (who didn't seem very happy and abit to busy on her phone) let, whom I can only assume are her neices, in front of us and on the ride for free. When she scanned our cards I got told I only had £1.50 left on each, so not enough to go on the ride. So it had costed me £8.50 each just to go on two rides. Queued up again to put some more money on the cards, to be told one had 1.50 the other had 4.50. Asked how that could be possible when we had only been on the same rides, but kiosk worker didn't seem interested. Thankfully my partner and eldest child don't like rides, would hate to think how much money it would cost if they did!! I won't go back again until they lose the card (or at least be able to reuse the cards for next year) It would be fantastic if they offered a wrist band option which allows you to go on as many rides as you like.
After reading other reviews, one of the cards must of been doubled scanned on one ride, looks like a common...
Read moreThe queues were horrendous and they definitely haven't got a reduced capacity as stated on their website, the place was rammed! Food was ridiculously over priced. The tickets are expensive considering the amount of rides there which we didn't get to go on many anyway because the queues were so long. The hand sanitizer was the consistency of water and had no smell to it... definitely wasn't sanitizer.
We went on the log flume at the end of the day. When it was our turn the staff didn't hold the flume for us all to get on. I had to try and hold it to prevent it going up the ramp whilst we all got on. The lad didn't help and the girl just stood there with a face like she was chewing a wasp! So unhelpful and rude.
We went in the fun house and I had a panic attack, I had to leave through the fire exit. The kids came out to see if I was ok and they wanted to go back in. They went to go back in through the door and a member of staff wouldn't allow them to. My partner tried to speak to him and he was so rude and argumentative. He wouldn't allow them to even though they had only just walked out. We explained the situation and I was still in tears so I stayed out of it. He was so rude and when my partner asked for his name which was apparently Phil he soon changed his tune and said he would take them to the front so they could go back in. By this point the kids were a bit intimidated and scared so they didn't want to fo back on. It is meant to be a place for children and they staff we had dealings with were just awful and rude. Pictures of Phil below 🙄 Perhsps working with children and families isn't the role for him.
Wouldn't waste your money here to be honest they're better places to take your kids for around the same prices.
The girl with the split dye hair however in the chippy was lovely and...
