A lovely traditional curry restaurant just off the main streets of Southport. The food was excellent and the service top notch. The portion sizes were perfect too. We had the chicken madras, chicken lucknow and chicken makhani. All were incredible. The Nan breads.were cooked to perfection too. My only complaint is that the beer wasn’t as cold as I usually like but still perfectly drinkable. We will be back.

I called on the off chance after reading the reviews. What a great Indian Restaurant, slightly off the beaten track, but worth looking for. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. There are dishes on the menu that I have never come across, and it was difficult to decide what to have. It is now in my favorite list of restaurants.

Well we have just been to this lovely restaurant I’m very cautious when it comes to curries because I’m use to authentic curries and I’ve got to say it was beautiful it really was and although it was packed out the staff coped very well and was very polite & professional I’d give it a good 9/10 Well done gents.

I went to the shamraat this evening. Service was quick, but I told them multiple times that I had a nut allergy and they did not seem the acknowledge what I told them. I ordered a chicken tikka masala and reminded them again that I had a nut allergy. A friend I went with also ordered the same meal. They told me they will take the nuts out of my chicken tikka masala if they did contain them. We were given our meals with no indication which one had nuts in. After looking through both curries, they both were made with nuts in, specifically cashew nuts. Luckily that I’m not severely allergic to cashew nuts in particular, but I did have an allergic reaction which caused my tongue to swell and tightness in my chest, I had to seek medical attention for this.

If you have a nut allergy do not go here especially if you have a sever nut allergy as they did not take this seriously.

Rung them later in the evening and they did not seem to take on board the severity of having nuts in a meal, when someone had told them multiple times they have an allergy and I was told all their customers don’t have nut allergies. How would they know if they did not ask me once as I had to tell them I had an allergy multiple times and still was not listened to. Was not clearly labeled in...

Was visiting Southport and tried here on basis of reviews. Booked which I'm glad about as it was solid when I left at 7.30pm. Staff were very friendly. Had the vegetable thali and it was excellent. They kindly substituted the brindi bhaji for tarka dahl as I hate okra. The dahl was so good I would happily have just had that and the naan bread. The thali was excellent and I would recommend. Was offered a complimentary brandy or baileys while waiting for the bill. Opted for the brandy and it was good quality. I will come back here when I'm next in Southport. Definitely recommend but make sure you book as...
