Subway Maghull — Restaurant in Sefton

I went into this Subway this week and was made to feel extremely uncomfortable whilst seeing an interaction between two members of staff.

One of the members of staff was clearly new and the other that was training her was clearly rude and unprofessional. She had created an uncomfortable atmosphere in the shop whilst I was ordering.

She seemed too busy taking on her phone speaking in another language. When asked for help by the new member of staff, she came out (clearly in a mood) and snatched the sandwich out of the girl's hand, quickly served me, and went straight into the back area to go back onto the phone.

This isn't the first negative encounter I've had with this member of staff. I think something might need to be addressed as I have heard her speaking to other staff members inappropriately and also customers. She needs to work on her customer service skills and people skills.

This is as bad as a subway gets. The woman serving yesterday morning was the slowest I've ever known. Only one person in front of me, ordered 2 sandwiches and I was waiting 20 minutes. Another woman arrived, and things speeded up but then she got distracted by a customer ordering platters.

I was left stood at the salad part for another 5 mins with the meatball sub going cold. She asked what salad I wanted and I clearly said pickles and peppers so she throws on half a wedge of lettuce and had to remake the whole thing.

The meatballs were burned and gristly. Really poor...

The food is good with kind, helpful staff. You can pop in whenever you want for the sub of the day or one with your choice of fillings! There are toilets at the back, but it's quite small and has a reputation for having lots of high school students there, so some may feel a bit unsafe, but I've never known them to do...
