Update: 31 March 2024. The service is still great as ever with very friendly and helpful staff, but having become used to Macdonald's and other fast food outlets with electronic menu boards as you enter, make your selection, pay then go collect your meals at the counter, Burger King is miles and years behind with none of this.
The overhead menus behind the service counter constantly change too fast for one to be able to see the offers or what is available.
The tiny board on the side wall with the typical menu from years ago still exists, but that only shows basic burger, fries and the kids meals. There are no paper menus on the counter to choose from.
We chose a couple of meals recommended by the kind lady behind the counter, the fries and drink were good, but the peppercorn Angus we were given had nothing like peppercorns in it.
This burger, without the meal, was priced at over £8 had one tiny piece of meat, no cheese or even a gherkins slice. Anywhere else this would have been sold at Leeds than ,£5.
There was this terrible tasting green weed in it with a couple of raw onion rings. I had to remove this green stuff that looked like some unearthed plant in my wife's garden before I could eat the rest of the burger.

Read moreThis branch of Burger King has gone downhill in recent months. I called there last week and was completely underwhelmed by the food and service experience.
I went through the drive-thru and ordered food for myself and a friend. We were asked to park while our food was cooked. I never mind when this happens normally, as it means the food is being cooked freshly.
A guy from the store brought out our food in a bag, and passed it through the window of my car. I'm not sure how he knew which car was ours, the parking spaces aren't numbered like other chains.
I made the mistake of not looking in the bag before he left, and noticed a portion of fries was missing. This meant I then had to enter the store to tell them about the error, which was problematic as I have mobility issues.
There was no fuss at the counter in getting the missing fries. The burgers were up to the usual standard and very tasty, but the fries had an odd aftertaste, I suspect the fryer oil was over-ready for changing.
If you're going to charge substantially more for a burger meal than the market leader, you have to be delivering an excellent product and service, and BK failed on both...

Had me waiting at the intercom for what felt like an eternity only then to be rushed in ordering my food like the wait was my fault. They were very unaccommodating when it came to their offers. Felt like they were picking and choosing what offers they'd like to give customers. A real sense of "hurry up, order your food, I don't really want to serve you" attitude. An apology for making me wait so long or a service with a smile would be asking for way too much from this bunch!! I genuinely will never be returning here. There's plenty of other fast food giants to eat from in the area. I ended up having a worse experience at the 1st window. The attitude of the person serving me was so disgraceful I had to ask her to cancel the whole order (approx £26) and had a much more pleasant experience at KFC...
