Been coming here since opened but recently I think it has taken by a massive u turn... the service is absolutely vile, rude, horrible (Obviously the type of staff they have, ÂŁ3 an hour students) on this occasion I asked to place a simple order, 4 plain paratha, 1 desi omelette and 1 plain omelette. The world class waitress who answered the call couldn't even speak proper English but I got the idea she is trying to say I cannot order omelette (even though I have had the same order from here so many times before) I hung up the phone and thought of going into the shop. Instantly I got a call back from Cha Cha Chai from a different person, first thing what she says to me is "What is your problem" very professional indeed everyone should learn from her. So I placed my order again and she said she can do the omelette but they will have to charge me for omelette roll because apparently their greedy boss doesn't sell omelette by itself. I said no problem it's okay I will pay whatever the price is (I'm not exactly ÂŁ3 an hour student) but then she had to open her big gob and come out with saying...... For next you cannot change the menu according to you, you have to take what is on the menu.
So now finally collected the food, paratha was far too much oily and I don't understand in the space of 10 mins how did it turn into stone, they normally make omelette with 2 eggs because I have had it before from the same shop but this time I think they used 1 egg to make 2 omelette.
And I would like to point out, why is it so whenever their own kind of people go in there they always get treated nicely, but when British people go in we get mis treated. Find it funny...
Read moreVisited this branch yesterday, before we headed back to Teesside after a long and tiring day. It was very busy and there were only 2 staff members on duty. No management on site. We found a table to sit at. It wasn't cleared from the previous party of 8 plus, so you can imagine the amount of mess on the table. After 20 minutes of waiting for it to be cleared, we ended up throwing all the rubbish in the bin and cleaning the table. It's not the staffs fault as one was taking orders and the other was making the orders. Poor management is to blame. Naan was hard, it was either re heated or over cooked, I seen the previous customer had left their naan probably for this reason too. The saviyan in the falooda was also hard and one of the worst we've tried. I have visited another branch and ithe whole experience was spot on. The poor management team need to set their priorities right instead of throwing all the responsibilities on 2 staff...
Read moreShocking! Thatâs one way to describe this place. You pay a premium price for what professes to also be an eat in establishment, only to be served in a really poor plastic takeaway container with cheap disposable plastic spoons. We ordered a corn flake tart and two desi teas. The cheap plastic spoons were snapping as we tried to eat the cornflake tart. I asked for a proper spoon, only to be told they donât have any. When I asked to speak to the manager, he brought a couple of metal spoons and told us the staff didnât know where the spoons are kept. The tart wasnât great and the tea was average. The price was at the upper end for what we chose too which was definitely not value for money for the cheap standard of service we received. In the current age of recyclable packaging, paper straws etc I was really disappointed that they preferred to use throw away plastic containers and spoons. I wonât be...
