Cookies and Cream — Restaurant in Sheffield

A great little ice cream parlour that's open late and provides desserts to take away.

The venue is new, the staff are new and they are still experimenting with some of the mixes... having said that, it's clear that they are passionate and have made some great food/desserts/beverages.

They cater mostly for take-away but there are 3 stools and a little counter to sit and eat inside.

There is a large variety of products: ice cream, waffles, cake, crepes, puddings, sundaes milkshakes, mocktails (exciting), smoothies, cold drinks etc. I've put up pics of the menu (blurry but might help).

Smoothies and milkshakes are £3.50 for a regular and £4.50 for a large. Sundaes are £5.50. Mocktails are £2.50 for a regular and £3.50 for a large. Everything edible ranges from 99p to £5.50. Portions are excellent value for money.

I popped into Cookies and Cream while walking to Bole hill fairly late at night and much to my delight, it was still open. I ordered a medium strawberry milkshake, and despite the staff looking busy with a flurry of online orders they still prepared my order fairly quickly. Although I did not think there was a long wait for my milkshake at all, the staff clearly did and upgraded me to a large milkshake for free to compensate me for my wait. The milkshake itself was very sweet and tasty and made from real strawberries which was a bonus, albeit a little too sweet for my taste.

My only real criticism was I thought the prices for desserts were a little on the steep side for the majority of things on their menu, but considering their large selection of complex desserts the prices are probably justified.

I will definitely be returning here if I'm craving something sweet when I'm in the area...

Don’t waste your time or money ordering from here. You won’t get your order, whatever you do get is cold, small, and sour - and don’t think for a second that you’ll be able to contact them. They don’t answer their phone, in fact, they turn it off!

Cookies and cream used to make nice desserts, and I never let one bad experience put me off, but this isn’t the first time nor the second. A 5 item order, clearly printed on the receipt stapled to the bag, but only 1 item in there - as above cold, small and sour.

Myself and my partner have called over 15 times to no avail. I’m now being directed to an answer machine stating that the number is not recognised. We haven’t even spoken with them.

Disgusting food and service. They don’t...
