DaShu — Restaurant in Sheffield

Me and my sister came for lunch today as I remember this cafe from my past. Chris as always was happy, cheerful and welcoming.

The food was as always hot, delicious and appetising. We had to tear ourselves away for fear of getting a call from our bank. My sister ordered the full cheese Korean corn dog and Korean burger. Myself I ordered the half and half corn dog and the Jajangmyon with 6 thighs with mustard and honey sauce to share with 2 Portuguese tarts for desert.

We not only ate it all as it tasted delicious as always but also wanted to order more to take home but I think our banks would have something to say about it.

If you haven't eaten Korean food before Dashu Bakery should be your first and only stop to try this delicious cuisine.

Never have I had a bad meal here. Everything is prepared fresh on the day and cooked to order.

We left happy and energetic despite putting on substantial weight after eating. You won't be disappointed I can tell you that.

They will be seeing us again very shortly.

Update July 2025 I now tend to get my orders here weekly or fortnightly from UberEats and the quality remains consistently high - good portion sizes, very crispy and most importantly good quality sauces that keep us coming back. Best Korean chicken in Sheffield IMO by a long shot.

Update april 24 Drove over today, Tuesday, after Google said you were open. Drove from totley (5 miles). You were closed. Honestly, this has really annoyed me. Drove all the way home and wasted an 1hr of my lunch break from work. I mentioned this before (months ago - see review below), it takes 30 seconds to help out all of your loyal customers all over the city who travel to come to your business - please just kindly update your hours if you're going to close all day 🙄😢

So this IS the best chicken you can eat. Dashu, PLEEEEEASE UPDATE your hours of opening though!! After 4 visits with you being closed it's really not cool 😔😔😔 but you deserve all the love and fuss in the world because your eatery is ONE OF THE BEST IN...

April 2025 Update - food and service improve if anything. I love the chicken and cheese bing, so tasty, filling but light, and very reasonable for what you get. If you are looking for a different, healthy, oh so tasty lunch give Dash a go! If you want a treat go for the Korean fried chicken, and yes go back to try a different sauce and side combination!

Something different and delicious. I recommend you try Dashu, light lunch dishes, Chicken and cheese bing - a mildly spiced fried chicken wrapped in a thin egg wrap with salad and sauce, or Korean Corndog - frankfurter coated and fried in spicy corn batter, and for something more substantial the Korean Fried Chicken with different sauce and side options will leave you very satisfied, and lots more to try too.
