The Street Food Chef — Restaurant in Sheffield

I am seeing a lot of excellent reviews here, so I guess normally they’re very polite. Although I need to leave a bad review, even if just for a rude answer I received. I asked if I could have a burrito for myself (since a I was delivering for Deliveroo and the two orderes weren’t still ready), and he answered be back “yes, but you need to pay it”. Now my question is if you ever answered a customer if you need to pay it. Even if I was delivering, I can be a customer and I am still person. From the other side the burrito was alright, not the best I had in my life but a pretty good one, and the other person who made it to me has been very kind and professional (the extra star is for him).

Ps: I normally don’t leave reviews, but this time I had to do it. It’s a matter of good behaviour. Treat everyone respectfully, we’re al doing the best and we’re all persons.

Answer: the problem is how he answered back. Doesn’t matter if they’re new or old. A normal answer is “sorry, we don’t do free burritos for the riders” if someone ask you for something free. You don’t answer “YES, BUT YOU NEED TO PAY IT”. Plus I didn’t say “Can I have a FREE burrito?” I said “Can I have a burrito for myself, please?”. There’s huge difference. It doesn’t matter if the other riders do that. Everyone has to be treated respectfully,...

You want good, hearty Mexican food then this is the place to be! The food is always fresh and there is a lot of variety. From Nachos to Quesadillas, Chicken to Beef, A Burrito that is the length of your forearm and weighs as much as a newborn.. They've got you covered!

There is also a big selection of beverages from soft/still drinks to alchohol to tequila slushies for those hot days!

Desert is generally on a rotation. Depending on the day you go into the restaurant depends on what you can have. From the ones I've seen and tried: Chocolate Brownies & Cornbread... The Cornbread is elite tier!

The staff are always friendly and greet with a smile. They're not shy for conversation which is great as I like going places where the staff genuinely take pride in what they do. There is a lot of soul at this place and it shows.

Lastly, they have plenty of seats to go around inside, accompanied by low volume music. There is also an outside seating area that can accommodate many groups also, these are Bench areas with shade.

All around great place. Will always continue to go here when I need a healthy, filling meal which is reasonably...

Amazing place.

We always plan to drop in when visiting Sheffield... And have sometimes been known to get the train up from Derby especially for a Burrito!!

Really down to earth vibe..

Food is super fresh and home made - with a lot of care and attention to detail. Flavours and textures always bang on.

The aroma as you arrive, and the carefully crafted menu and options available tell you everything you need to know.

Staff always seem super friendly..

All food I've had there seems to be customisable (especially the burritos) - so you can go as hot or as mellow as you want.. loads of choice - have it exactly as you like it, or try something new.

Prices always reasonable..

Makes a really pleasant and "real" change from all the over-polished and soulless chains that seem to dominate the restaurant and fast food industry.

Thoroughly recommend you make the time - perhaps go out of your way a few blocks - and enjoy some real authentic food made with love by a small independent team who genuinely deserve and appreciate your support.
