The Roebuck Tavern and Kitchen — Restaurant in Sheffield

Myself and partner walked in yesterday to be meet by a young man who instantly requested myself to wear a face mask, I explained I am exempted and also shown my inhaler to prove I’m asthmatic, he became annoyed and rolled his eyes and said whatever. He demanded I have a photo on my phone and demanded I should have this before entry ‘this is not a legal requirement and he has no business to ask, you can find this information on the Direct Gov website’ I was in disbelief of his rudeness of what he just did, I told him I didn’t like his attitude, to which he didn’t seem bothered of how he just treated a paying customer. I said don’t worry about it and left. Never felt so unwelcome in all my life!!!! If a manger reads this I hope you get in contact before I slag this place off to even more potential paying customers....

A lovely pub, I called in for a drink and bite to eat about 1230, bar staff were friendly and attentive, I noted my table number (five) and ordered a Pepsi Max (driving later or beer would have the preferred option!) and a cheeseburger with extra bacon. It arrived after about 10 minutes and was presented nicely and the quality was very good, chips well done, the way I like them, burger fresh and tasty and all enjoyably consumed... Hendo's and Sarson's available, always a good sign. Total cost of visit £15.95, so about what you would expect to pay and they take cash as well as all the other payment methods. The Roebuck Tavern on this visit wasn't busy but there was still a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. Would I visit again? Yes, definitely and...

Whats happened to the nice food here ? As a frequent visitor here I came with 3 friends for food tonight .The food was microwaved rubbish . I ordered the ‘ foot long ‘ sausage , chips and curry sauce . I got 7 chips a very chewy and dry ( not a foot long ) sausage and cold mushy peas which i sent back .I had to go to the bar again to ask where my onion rings were as they had been forgotten . My friends had frozen yorkshire puddings and chewy chicken 🤢. Certainly wont be eating here again . The bar staff are usually very polite but tonight they had a very ‘ Cant be bothered ‘ attitude. No sorry about your cold peas or sorry about your missed items . They never asked how the meal was either when they took the 1/2 full plates away.The pub was also very...
