Med Food Co — Restaurant in Sheffield

No criticism of the food whatsoever... Just not enough of it in the box! I had the halloumi rice box at £7.50 and for that price was expecting a feast - this is more expensive than festival food of the same ilk. There is a box priced at £9.50 on the menu - yikes!!! Sadly there was also too much packaging; cardboard box lined with brown paper which shredded when wet with food, sauce in a tiny (too small - you want a good slosh of sauce for this type of food. I found myself eking it out smear by smear on each mouthful of food) plastic pot, a large branded sticker to seal the box, a paper bag for it all to go in. Granted it was clear all the packaging was made from recycled materials but... with the rationed portions it felt as though a lot of the item cost went on the bumf instead of the actual meal. We absolutely love Lokanta, and we could love this place too but either with slightly more palatable prices, or more...

Just had my first takeaway after eating in the restaurant last week.

Had chicken grilled kebab, rice and salad with a lovely chilli sauce. Food was excellent, very good chicken kebab, cooked to perfection. Was accompanied with a nice fresh salad and perfectly cooked rice. It all came in a handy box with knife fork and hand towellette.

Service was quick and staff were lovely. Really polite welcoming and friendly.

Will definetly be going back again very soon. Price was £5.95 for the box, which I found great value for such excellent food and service!! A card is stamped with each purchase and you get free breakfast with 8 takeaways....

I truly cannot believe this place is so highly reviewed, it's easily the worst falafel and wrap of any kind I've had in the city. I got a falafel wrap with all the salad (apparently "all the salad" means lettuce, soggy tomato and a few pieces of onion?), and over half of the wrap was iceberg lettuce. Overall the wrap was unseasoned and the falafel was yellow and flavourless. They also only had 3 sauces to choose from (chilli, red pepper and yoghurt + mint), which was quite pathetic. I'm hoping the poor quality of our food was just the staff having an off day but I shan't be returning...
