Lovely food in a lovely atmosphere.
Myself and my girlfriend visited here on a Tuesday around the 6pm mark and were greeted promptly by a member of staff who showed us to our table and talked us through the menu and how to order via a website. The restaurant looked to be between 1/2 and 1/3 full, not too busy and not empty, a nice in between in my opinion. I was already expecting great things as I'd certainly heard and seen plenty about Nando's before, I'd had a takeaway from them before restrictions were fully lifted and the food was great then, I'd just never sat in at one.
Ordering via the QR code provided was very easy and quick, the menu was easy to read and navigate through on our phones, had no problems with this.
For me, the Sunset Burger was calling my name and I chose the 'Hot' spice level. I also opted for 2 sides and chose the famous Nando's PERi-salted Chipsalong with some long stem broccoli. For her, it was a Grilled Chicken Pitta, same spice level, same sides, no crunchy slaw on the pitta though. Bottomless drinks for the both of us too, choices consisted of the usual big players, Coke, Diet Coke, 7UP, Fanta etc. Ice and water was also available.
From ordering on the app to our food arriving, our wait was very respectable, I don't think you could call it a wait even, more so an exciting anticipation.
Our food was awesome, presented very nicely and most importantly - absolutely delicious. My burger was so so good, everything on it was perfect, notable mentions are the chicken itself and the smoky red pepper chutney. There was no complaints on the pitta side of the table either, that looked and from what I'm told, tasted very nice also. Our sides were really nice too, our long stem broccoli sides were of good portion sizes, not too many, not too little. The PERi-salted chips were amazing, the salt/seasoning tasted really good, had a good tickly spice to it, there was also a good amount of it all over our fries too, every chip had that perfect tingle of spice on it. To go along with our food was a very wide array of Nando's sauces, ranging from Mild up to Very Very Hot and everything in between. We thought we'd give the Very Very Hot sauce a risk, just to say we've tried it and I can say it certainly lives up to it's name! I ended up having to go back and get a Mild sauce to cool me down.
Having finished our mains we thought dessert was definitely on the cards because, as we were going up to get our moneys worth on the bottomless drinks we spotted a bottomless mango frozen yoghurt machine, what maniac wouldn't get one of those. We ordered one bottomless frozen yogurt pot and a coconut gelado(no, not gelato). Firstly the coconut gelado was insane, such a strong yet creamy coconut flavour and the desiccated coconut mixed in with the gelado itself was the cherry on top. Secondly, the frozen yoghurt, also very very nice, the perfect way to cool down a mouth on fire after spicy chicken and chips. The second best part about the frozen yoghurt after it's taste is that you can get as much as you like!
The atmosphere along with the friendly staff really pulled the perfect experience together that evening, the staff were always making sure everything was clean and that everyone was enjoying their meals. One member of staff saw that a young girl out of a very large group dining there was taking a photo of everyone and they offered to take a photo for the family.
A great dining experience for sure, I'd happily recommend this...
Read moreCalled in for lunch on the 9th August - the food was mediocre, and nowhere near what we have enjoyed previously at Nandos. The service was incredibly slow with many tables complaining about the long waits. Many tables were also receiving refunds, so presumably many orders had also been taken down incorrectly. The atmosphere of the place was let down by drivers from delivery companies complaining about the waits to collect food which they were supposed to be delivering - this was exacerbated by delivery drivers attempting to argue with members of staff at Nandos. It was sadly clear that the place was either incredibly short staffed and/or very poorly managed during our trip, however a shout out must go to the hard working young man who served us (did not manage to catch his name), as he seemed to be the dogsbody for everyone else - if it was not for him, I would've struggled to have found anything positive that justified awarding more...
Read moreAfter cancelling our table at slug and lettuce to go and go to Nando’s because we hadn’t been before, me and my boyfriend soon regretted our decision! We was sat with other people on a table, the member of staff that showed us to our table didn’t give us any information on where the sauces or cuterly was. the staff were in polite and none of them smile. I asked a member of staff for some napkins because they had run out. She filled the tray up near the knifes and folks but couldn’t be bothered to let me know or even be kind enough to bring me a couple over. The man that took my order was sarcastic and made me feel anxious and uncomfortable. The food wasn’t brilliant, I could barley bite into my garlic bread and the chips were cold! The whole place had such a negative atmosphere and we left feeling extremely disappointed! I’ve seen so many reviews on here saying the same thing, they need to sort it out! Won’t...
