Oh my days. Amazing food. 2 in the party. 1 had halloumi sizzler, 1 a steak pie. Well the pie was a sight to behold the size of a small village, obviously freshly made. The pastry was melt in the mouth, with the most tender meat. The sizzler was imensley tasty.. The service was 1st rate. As for pudding, I asked of they did a vegan custard due to milk allergy. The server checked and told me that she was sorry no. Not a problem most places do not. Less than a minute later the chef came to me and told me he had soy milk so could make me a seperate crumble and custard from scratch. Wow 😍 Thank you for the service. We will be back.

Not just an average pub; a warm welcome, nice atmosphere, very clean and tidy, and excellent service. Above all, this is a great place to eat as the food is absolutely top notch. The price to eat out these days can seem a bit high compared to a couple of years ago, but trust me it's worth it here. Great portions and perfectly cooked. Whoever the chef is, hang onto them! Family friendly with a great outdoor area. There are often 2 for 1 or set price meal deals and specials on - ask at the bar. Only thing I didn't see was any cycle parking.

A Hidden Gem for Families and Food Lovers

If you’re looking for a welcoming, family-friendly pub that serves top-quality homemade food at affordable prices, look no further! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by warm, friendly staff who made us feel right at home.

The food here is nothing short of exceptional. Every dish is homemade with care, and you can truly taste the difference. We tried their homemade pizzas and lasagna, and both were absolutely outstanding—full of rich flavors and cooked to perfection. Their hand-cut chips were a highlight, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and simply delicious. Portion sizes are generous, so you’re definitely getting great value for your money!

For families, this pub is a fantastic choice. Our 8-year-old had a brilliant time in the play area, which is a great addition to keep little ones entertained. They also cater wonderfully to children with their meal options—large portions at incredible prices! And if you’re a dog owner, you’ll be pleased to know that this pub is completely dog-friendly, adding to its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Overall, this place ticks all the boxes: amazing food, great service, family- and dog-friendly, and fantastic value. We’ll definitely be...
