Me and my girlfriend came in for an eggs benedict for a bit of late breakfast. I went up and ordered the food and drinks we asked for and sat back down. 15-20 minutes later and we didnât receive our drinks, one being a pot of tea and the other being a iced latte and with it being quiet with 3-4 other people in we thought it wasnât a great start.
Once reminded we had ordered drinks she said she completely forgot them which happens. Another 20-30 minutes go by without getting food and at this point weâve been in there nearly a hour when itâs pretty quiet. Once the food arrived me and my girlfriend were surprised, two large unbuttered slices of bread with two small poached eggs, two well undercooked pieces of bacon and a drizzle of hollandaise sauce. The amount wasnât the main issue but as the poached eggs were over cooked and basically hard boiled eggs and with waiting for well over an hour I wasnât going to complain and then wait for them to make us some more.
Very disappointing as weâve been here before and had no issues, the staff werenât great as they just kept shouting and seemed more bothered about what was on their phone then actually serving people. A couple who came in 25 or so minutes after us got served their drinks and food before us and had ordered a lot more. Maybe an off day but genuinely disappointed and wonât be...
Read moreNot sure whatâs happened here since it was reopened but Iâve been back 3 or 4 times for breakfast and itâs miles apart from what was served up before it was reopened. Full English since then has been disappointing. There was over half an hour wait and there were only 6 people in. When we did get our breakfasts, the beans were luke warm, I think the sausage has changed quality and then to cap it all, the fried egg had been plonked on the plate drowned in oil running under the sausage and bacon. The toast came after the breakfast and was like a slice of fresh air. And the tomatoes were luke warm. I mopped up the oil with the serviette, but my hubbys was worse than mine, egg literally bathing in oil, so we both left the breakfasts because it just put us off. When we mentioned that weâd been waiting half an hour, to the waitress, they just walked off saying nothing! Before it reopened, breakfast was always piping hot, well presented, served quickly, altogether with the toast. And I feel better quality. Iâll not be going back. Lovely premises, compact, neat and clean, but the proof is in the pudding as they sayâŚ.this is just...
Read moreBurncross Kitchenâs bacon, egg, sausage, and tomato masterpiece (BEST) is not just breakfast â itâs an event. The bacon? Crisped to perfection, singing with smoky glory. The egg? Soft, golden, and as perfectly cooked as if the sun itself personally approved it. The sausage? Juicy, herby, and clearly forged in the fires of Mount Delicious. The tomato? Sweet, tangy, and fresh enough to make you question every tomato youâve ever eaten before.
Each bite is like watching a sunrise while riding a unicorn across a rainbow â warm, comforting, and strangely heroic. Somehow, theyâve achieved the holy grail: hearty enough to fuel a working day, delicious enough to make you wish you had three more stomachs.
This isnât just a breakfast sandwich⌠itâs a morning miracle. If you start your day anywhere else, youâre...
