There’s a cute new restaurant in Sheffield, and you’re not gonna wanna miss this! Serving authentic, fresh and healthy Asian food, based in the heart of Sheffield City Centre only a 5 minute walk from the train Station. Japanese & Thai dishes are available to eat in or takeaway.

Talk about good timing, I was meeting a fellow foodie for lunch one Saturday in December when Yutu, which opened just the previous week, had kindly invited her and a guest (yay me!) to try their menu.

This cute little restaurant based between the train station & the Moor, has a concise but still varied menu containing such delights as Sushi, Bibimbap, Katsu Curry, Signature Wings, Gyoza and more.

I thoroughly enjoyed;

Chicken Gyoza – yummy, fresh anb a big portion for a side. Beef Bibimbap – filling and delicious with a bit of a kick. This was a real bowl of deliciousness. Signature Orleans grilled Wings – sweet, spicy and lovely I also tried a little of the Chicken Katsu sushi and kimchi pancakes and loved it all

We heard online that this place was new so me and my partner decided to try it out. When we first went in, the cashier answered our question of how to order. We sat at a table and started looking on their menu. Ordered the Chicken Terayaki Don (rice bowl), salmon sushi set, veggie roll, chicken dumplings and the miso soup. The food came out one by one and it came out at a right pace between each dish. I enjoyed the salmon sushi set and my partner enjoyed the veggie roll. The rice in the sushi and rice bowl were the right texture and gosh, the rice was enjoyable! the chicken dumplings were flavourful as well. The miso soup and chicken in the rice bowl were a bit tasteless, and the texture of the chicken was different to what we were expecting. The staff were helpful and friendly. The setting of the restaurant was very cute and relaxing. They had cute tableware and cute details like crocheted flowers in vases. The wall bench had comfy cushions to sit on, and the kitchen looked clean from the small peaks we had.

Overall, this was a cute restaurant with a cute atmosphere with great sushi, we look forward to...

I've eaten here before so had good expectations coming back. However, I ordered the tofu katsu curry and was charged for it, but was served the chicken one. I hadn't realised until a few bites and I asked the member of staff if it was the tofu one and was bluntly told it was the chicken one and she heard chicken. Miscommunications happen, I get it, however I explained that I was vegetarian and had eaten some and there was absolutely no remorse or apology of any kind. I was then given the correct dish but she didn't take away the chicken one from the table, I was just handed a pound coin for the difference in price, despite being charged the price for the tofu dish to begin with. Just an odd and upsetting experience. If that was me and I'd served a vegetarian meat and they'd eaten it accidentally I would be morified. I was visibly upset as well and still there was no apology at all, the staff member just seemed annoyed at me as if I was inconveniencing her. I won't...
