Been a few times before and always had the halloumi burger and was always disappointed, the halloumi was more mushy than chewy so I avoided going for a very long time. Heard that they had got new menus so thought I'd give it another go. I chose the big daddy Kane burger or something like that. Which was a beef Patty, chorizo and pulled pork. After waiting 45 minutes for it to come when the place was dead and two men that came in after us got theirs after 20 minutes of waiting the waitress apologized and said that the cheffs were getting use to the new menu and she would knock us off some money for our wait which was nice. The food finally arrived and me and my friend was starving. Yet it definitely wasn't worth the 45 minute wait. My burger was only just warm, the pulled pork was freezing cold and flavourless and I only had one measly slice of chorizo, my friend got the vegan burger with macaroni chesse on it which was rock hard and felt like it had been sat out for hours. The server was really appolgetic and tried to do everything she could to make it better and knocked us 50% off our bill which was really nice of her so we left her a tip as we know it wasn't her fault the food wasn't up to scratch, yet when we went to give her the money her college wasn't too happy that she had took so much off the price and was rather rude to us when we were leaving. I'm thankful for that server and what she did to try and resolve the problems but I think if your charging £9.50 for a burger it should be...
Read moreBooked online and to be fair it did say there might be some noise! This was an understatement our room was on the second floor we could actually feel the base vibration through the building so.e mins on the bedside cabinet were moving the noise was so loud we could hardly hear the tv this was on a Wednesday night oh it the disco stopped at 4am! The room was something out of the mid 70s complete with avocado bathroom fittings, stained stretched and worn out carpet, added floral display in the form of mould in the shower room. We tried to use the in room copy of the menu for food just after midnight to be told it was an old menu and the kitchen closed at 10 only to find the same menu on the table for breakfast who this right and which is wrong? The room rate included breakfast only to discover in the morning that if we wanted the large (full) full English that was extra. The breakfast did not fail to dissapoint either it had had an accident with a deep fat frier for way to long before beibg rescued! In the interest of fair play there is a positive and that is that the building had a roof! My advice would be judging by the amount of students in the bar disco last night is if you are a student, deaf or daft then this venue would be a good night however if you are normal, hygienic want some sleep and expect clean facilities and civil staff i would stay somewhere else!!!!!!! You have...
Read moreAbsolutely shocking service. Just been for lunch at 12:30 on a Friday to be told kitchen is temporarily closed because they are preparing for a private party, so goodbye - we had actually come from quite afar. Appalling customer service - the worker appeared to be very stressed and overworked. In the worker's defence there was absolutely no staff and indeed we had to wait quite a few minutes before she arrived from the kitchen - so she is probably serving the food, cooking the food, serving at the bar, and anything else required. I feel customer service is getting worse and worse in the UK and this really has been a defining moment. In my line of business I simply can't treat customers like this otherwise i won't have many, so perhaps this will happen to the twisted burger if they...
