CHEATER-PIZZA 👎👎👎 Honest review by an Italian Traveller 🇮🇹 Well advertised as STONED BAKED PIZZA but is SCAM! Pizza has been streched with roll (that's why is soft like cardboard) , deposited in a METAL TRAY and BAKED on METAL TRAY not on STONE as advertised! After baked got from the tray to the stone for about 20 seconds to get it even more burnt and cardboard (check photos 📸) . Hygiene ZERO! Haven't seen the employ washing hands (he also touch money) Employ manipulating pizzas without PIZZA PEEL but with a DIRTY FABRIC GRABBING IT and deeping it into MOZZARELLA & TOMATO of my pizza (so all the DIRT STICKS IN MY FOOD) OWNER'S CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Trying to make present to Manager those issues he comes up with a very AGGRESSIVE ATTITUDE since beginning, everything i was saying was NOT TRUE in his opinion, until crushing with EVIDENCES he cannot deny.. Tooks me over five minutes to get a REFUND ( other pizza not in picture was even more burnt) after insisting and insisting. I got 15.95£ refund after a while (and many screams of owner) that the medium price you will pay for a "CARDBOARD PIZZA" ..IF YOU WILL TAKE THE RISK TO GO THERE. As long as the HYGIENE will not improve i advice NOT TO FEED YOUR CHILDREN with a pizza full of DIRT carried by DIRTY FABRIC, and deeped into your mozzarella. I'm Italian and i've been travelling whole my life but REALLY FEW TIMES i faced a so AWFUL and EXPENSIVE PIZZERIA. P.s. here on MAPS they advertise as WOODEN PIZZA OVEN.. another SCAM because oven was ELECTRIC as you can see stopping at their take away. More than a TAKE AWAY is a RUN AWAY! 😱😱😱 (last week have been in a scottish pizzeria twice in Nairn and i gave greetings for their hability to provide TASTY AND IMPECCABLY PIZZA as we do in Italy) (pricing there was 25% cheaper than here EVEN MORE)

After a day out kayaking and a recommendation, we drove to Broadford and Cafe Sia. It's a comfortable wee cafe/restaurant with ample parking out the front. You can sit inside or out on the decking. The menu is limited but there's something to suit most folk. Sia is mainly a pizza restaurant and I'll say, they serve some of the tastiest pizza's I've had. On mine, I had bacon, sausage, haggis and mozzarella and it was outstanding! One of my sons had the 'Over the Sea to Skye' pizza and another had the 'Deamhan', both thought they were amazing. I'll warn you though, the 'Deamhan' is hot!!! My wife ate a goats cheese salad and although I despise goats cheese, this thing looked amazing! She confirmed that it tasted even better than it looked. There's a limited amount of deserts available and unfortunately, some had run out when we went, however, if you go, ask for their 'Baked Alaska'. It takes about 20 minutes to be made but oh my god is it worth it!! If you're in the area or don't mind a wee drive, stop by, the food is great and the service is excellent too, you won't be disappointed.

With a lot of great reviews, I expected so much better. I am grateful we found food to take away on the isle, however… First of all, neither of the 2 staff in the very small take away hut were wearing masks (one not at all, one over half her face only half the time). It’s not a legal requirement anymore but surely, it’s just good hygiene when an extremely contagious airborne virus is causing an above average infection rate in this area. Secondly, I ordered the vegetable pizza that included artichokes. I pointed out that there weren’t artichokes on the pizza. The woman told me it’s under the cheese. I told her that I can’t see them. Surely enough, when eating it, there were no artichokes to be found which is the most expensive topping on the pizza. Thirdly, the Pizza base was very average. Fourthly, a wood-fired pizza is defined by a brick oven. The oven our pizza came out from was steel, so I’d like to be enlightened how this can be sold as wood-fired pizza? Overall, I’m glad we had food but if we had more choice, I wouldn’t choose it again I’m afraid.

Pizza Sia: Where the Pizza Doesn’t Want to Leave Either

So, I waltzed into Pizza Sia on the Isle of Skye, ready to pick up a delicious takeaway and enjoy a quiet night in. But apparently, Pizza Sia had other plans... as in, no plans to let their pizza escape the building that night. They just decided there would be no takeaway. Yup, you read that right! The pizzas were on lockdown.

When I asked why, the boss stormed over, looking both angry and confused—like someone had just told him pineapples belong on pizza. There was no explanation, no “sorry for the inconvenience,” just a flat-out, "No pizza for you." It felt like I was in some bizarre pizza dictatorship, where the ruler was having a major power trip.

At this point, I genuinely felt bad for the poor staff, who looked as baffled as I did. So, naturally, I ended up apologizing to them for having to work under such a pizza tyrant! I mean, they deserve a medal for dealing with that.

Honestly, the whole experience felt like a weird breakup. “It’s not you, it’s us… We’ve decided to keep the pizza to ourselves tonight.” Well, thanks for nothing, Pizza Sia! I’ll be ordering from somewhere else where they actually let the pizza leave the premises. If you’re looking for takeaway, try elsewhere—because at Pizza Sia, it seems the pizza isn’t the only thing that’s crusty!

I’m sure the foods great if I had...

Just to add to the former reviews from past customers of this cafe, we also had a bad experience. The labelling on the menu is very problematic as we ordered two pizzas labelled as "vg" and the menu states the "vg" stands for "vegan or vegan option available", but there was non-plant-based cheese on the pizzas. When we asked the manager, he said that "vg" means vegetarian, not vegan. He wasn't friendly and made us pay for pizzas we couldn't eat. The worst part is that they do have vegan cheese, but you need to ask specifically for it, or they will do a non-vegan pizza by default, even when the menu states that "vg" is for " vegan". The staff was quite unfriendly, which is really a shame. And the food is really overpriced. A lot needs to be improved. And just to respond to the reply from the cafe below this comment: it speaks to itself about their friendliness and the way they treated us and other customers who wrote critical reviews. Our evaluation was based on the very poor quality of the service and the food, which had nothing to do with the problem with the door, which was already damaged - as stated in the reply. And we can read very well, thank you, the only source of concern here is your lack of ability to write...
