Tianavaig Restaurant — Restaurant in Skye

On an evening before our departure day out of Skye, we couldn’t find any place to dine in without a reservation. So we walked into this place and the lady who greeted us looked like she was forced to be at work. Seated us and took our order. We ordered four fish and chips, risotto and soup with few drinks. The soup and the risotto were sub par and we did not even finish 25% of the risotto. Fish and chips were just ok. This is probably one of the worst services and food quality on my trip to Scotland. Will not recommend this place at all. Go get a takeout of a pizza or fish & chips at chippy rather than go...

What an underrated gem! We had the nicest servers, everyone is so lovely! And the food portions are massive, and cost is standard for the area. The quality of food is impeccable. We ate at a “higher end” restaurant the night before and for the same cost we got a quarter of the amount of food. It’s all delicious- did the Cullen skink, mussels, and langoatuines. Just phenomenal. In addition to the quality, it’s the only restaurant we were able to get into at 630 pm. After spending an hour trying to find dinner on our honeymoon, this was a wonderful treat and we enjoyed our dinner...

Après une journée de route, nous sommes arrivés tard à Portree. La plupart des restaurants fermant leur cuisine à 20h30, nous n’avons pas trouvé d’autre endroit où dîner. Malheureusement, ce restaurant nous a laissé un très mauvais souvenir. La serveuse était limite désagréable. Nous avons commandé des salades César à 20£ chacune. Ce que nous avons reçu était tout simplement immangeable : une salade noyée dans la mayonnaise, du poulet sec, froid, tout juste sorti du réfrigérateur, avec encore des petites veines et filets secondaires visibles — aucun effort de préparation.
