During my time in India, I was truly captivated by the rich cuisine of Pakistan, especially the delectable Peshawari Kulchas. Once I arrived in London, my palate yearned for some flavorful desi spicy food, as the routine of burgers, fish and chips, and boiled potatoes grew monotonous. On a trip to Slough, I discovered a gem called "Little Lahore" and despite my limited time, I savored a delightful meal of aloo paratha and chai, which left me craving more. This prompted me to promise myself a proper visit for lunch or dinner in the future.

Finally, the opportunity arose on my birthday. Accompanied by my husband, we indulged in a feast consisting of chicken karahi, chicken seekh kebab, and biryani. Just reminiscing about it now makes my mouth water. The chicken seekh kebabs were served sizzling in an iron thali, exuding the aromas of ground spices, ginger, onion, garlic, and tender minced chicken. Our next course, chicken karahi, was equally scrumptious. Although we were so full that dessert seemed impossible, the thought of it lingered.

The tawa paratha, made with pure wheat atta and generously laden with desi ghee, was a treat in itself. One paratha was enough to satisfy my appetite due to its incredible taste. And then came the highlight - the tikka biryani. The tikkas were grilled to perfection, tender and succulent.

Whenever we dine at "Little Lahore" in Slough, we always make sure to order extra to take home. The food prices are pocket-friendly compared to other Indian restaurants in London, making it an even more appealing choice. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot. This place is a true delight for those craving...

Environment: Clean and tidy. Staff: Well spoken, attentive to order. Food presentation: Very good. Quantity: Good value for money.

Ordered: Halwa, Puri, Chana & Nihari with Kulcha.

Verdict Halwa Puri Chana. Definitely impressed,  the quantity was a very generous size,  the Chana was nice and taste authentic, Halwa was again cooked well,  Sooji not burnt or leaving an aftertaste, sugar was a good level,  not overly sweetened.

Nihari was nice,  the cut of meat was correct for Nihari, it was a lamb shank cut,  the quantity is generous and serves 2 adults with ease,  meat tender,  taste authentic.

Kulcha Naan:

Very nice,  freshly out of the tandoor, slightly crisp, and nicely garnished with desi ghee.

Cleanliness and presentation is impressive. The management and staff ensure the premises remains hygienically clean, tables were cleaned within minutes of customers leaving, a young lady went around the entire restaraunt,  wiping all chairs and tables as it was 11am, she was ensuring Cleanliness.

Conclusion: I am happy I returned as I was not too impressed first time,  for Slough, it's a good place,  nice atmosphere,  good food with reasonable prices.

Special mention: Mubashar, this young man kept ensuring we were ok,  a smile and adab in his work,  happy to see such a friendly face,  study hard and continue...

We ordered charsi karahi on staff's recommendation along with chapli kebab and chicken biryani.

Charsi Karahi 6/10, it is not a charsi karahi, rather more Lahori masala karahi. Taste wise it was good but I was expecting a proper charsi karahi rather than masala karahi. Maybe changing its name would do some justice to quality of Karahi.

Chicken Biryani 9/10, it was the show stopper of the day. Perfect spices and flavour. The best part was it was very fresh unlike some other restaurants where they reheat the rice and you can easily tell that it is not fresh. I would highly recommend chicken biryani to anyone visiting the restaurant

Chapli Kebab 3/10, it requires serious improvement. They were very dry, not juicy how they should be. There is a good room of improvement in it. There are restaurants nearby serving much better chapli kebabs.

Service 10/10, Staff was very proactive, humble and very accommodating. We asked to change the table twice as initially we sat right in front of the front door and it was very cold there. They happily changed our table. We did not like that table either and requested for a change again and they did it in minutes with a very humble attitude.

Overall it was 5/10 for me.
